What defines a "restricted recipient", and how do I fix this error:

" Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Too many restricted recipients.. Please check the message and try again. "

COX has moved all their email accounts to Yahoo. They still have the same name such as xxxxx@cox.net. It was difficult to get everything working, and I almost succeeded. There is still a problem with SMTP and I have submitted a separate question in this forum.

All my Gmail accounts are in the unified folder. The Cox accounts used to be there, but no longer. I have tried multiple times to get them there, but they won't move. Both the Cox and Gmail use 0AUTH2 and SSL/TLS. I prefer to have all my email in the unified folder so I don't miss anything.

I can't get smtp to work with multiple yahoo accounts. When I get the account settings window, it shows the correct smtp server for yahoo. (smtp.mail.yahoo.com) but when I click on the edit SMTP button, there is a section called "Security and Authentication" section with 3 lines

     Connection Security:             [SSL/TLS]
     Authentication Method :        [0AUTH2]
     User Name:                             [*****1@cox.net]  (My accounts were transferred from COX to Yahoo)

If I edit the SMTP on any of my cox accounts, it changes them all to the same user name. If I want to send mail from any cox account, I have to go to account settings first and edit the smtp and put in the correct account. This is very tedious.

I have noticed that my gmail accounts do the same thing, but gmail doesn't care. Here is the error I get when sending mail before going to account settings first to change the account.

I have been unable to receive the OTP I need to log in. My username and password work fine but then I try to get to the OTP, it doesn't show up on my email and the cell phone number is an old one. Please help. I have a lot of shopping to do.

Firefox is blocking website reader comment sections, yahoo, foxnews and so on. (version 126.0 64 bit). Windows 11. Comment section still found using chrome or edge. Started with last Firefox browser upgrade? Have not seen any changes to Firefox "Privacy and Security options" . I use Google or Duck Duck Go as search engines. Thanks

I sent an email with multiple BCCs and no CCs or TOs, I put myself as one of the BCCs.

I did not receive it and I do not think anybody else did as well since I asked a few people.

The email is in the sent folder. I tried forwarding the email from my sent folder to myself as CC, and that worked. I also tried fowarding as BCC, and that worked.

So what is going on? Is BCC working? How can I know for certain? Do I need to foward the email as BCCs to all my BCCs to get this to work?

As stated above. One mail account folder in "Inbox" has randomly disappeared in unified folders, but is still available in "All Folders" are when selected. How do I get it back in Unified, so I don't have to use All Folders as well? One side note: If I use Troubleshoot mode it is there like normal, but when closed down and regular Thunderbird is started, it's gone.

Hi. My hard drive crashed. I have a new pc and the old drive is readable in a drive enclosure hooked up to new PC via usb. I have done the typical search for the appdata profile file, but I am not sure what I have here. I have attached a screenshot of the old drive and a global search on "Thunderbird". I am not sure where the profile file is residing. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

I am trying to switch from Google to Firefox, but I still use my Google email. I uploaded my contacts from Google to Firefox, but I am trying to edit my own contact info in Gmail contacts, but when I click the edit button, nothing happens. Do I need to edit it in Firefox, and will that edit migrate back to Gmail? Why can't I edit it in my Gmail contacts (in the Gmail right-hand toolbar), and it will update my Firefox contacts automatically?

If you are going to require "A" file type, fucking say what type it has to be and provide a converter or screenshot tool! I Tried .Docx and PDF. Word does not save to PNG or JPEG so they are not an option.

AT THIS POINT, I AM STRONGLY RECONSIDERING SWITCHING FIREFOX!!!!!!

Windows 10 professional for workstations Firefox build 126.0

My browser auto updated today and after the refresh I found that the history under the address bar has been broken. It now displays only in part and over top of the address bar itself which as you can imagine is unusable. See image attached.

I entered troubleshoot mode and the problem went away. So I disabled all my extensions and addons, but the problem persists (when not in trouble shoot mode)

Any idea what could be causing this? It is hampering my ability to do my job.

I don’t understand what Firefox is doing. For example, I used to start typing the first few letters of “weather.com”, which I visit pretty much daily, and it would auto fill “weather.com”. Now it auto fills every time with http://www.weatherbase.com/. I don’t know where that came from. Similarly, I used to type the first few letters of “duckduckgo.com” and it would bring up “duckduckgo.com”. Now it brings up a magnifying glass below the url with “Search with duckduckgo”. I am thinking it might be best if I can start over, i.e. clear out any information it’s saved about where it thinks I want to go, and start remembering the sites I am entering now.

This question was asked before but no one gave a reasonable answer. I use Thunderbird to download emails from two live.com accounts. The old version had a split screen with the list of emails for the account being viewed in the top half and a preview of the actual email being viewed in the bottom half along with action buttons such as delete. This supposedly also kept viruses from being downloaded until the email was actually downloaded. This made deleting a series of emails very easy. The version I downloaded today doesn't have the split screen. I have to actually open each email to delete it. Very time consuming. How can I set up the old format in the new version?
