When we enter a search query on mobiles or on PC using Firefox we get:-

There was an error displaying the search results. Please try again.

This started happening today at about 10:45 (BST+2) Using Safari or the Galaxy search engine or using Chrome on the PC works fine.

At first we thought it might be a local problem so we re-booted our router - no result. We re-set Firefox on the PC - no result (anyway it is generalised).

Curiously WhatsApp is still connected (had to re-connect after re-set). So what is going on please?

When I try and get a web page for example wordle or facebook I get following message 'There was an error displaying the search results. Please try again.' I have windows 11 on a laptop and am using duckduckgo as search engine. It has only started today and on Edge using same search engine I do not have the problem

From the image below, I asked a question and the results are there. I've tried this on my tablet as well, getting the exact sane results, no matter what I put in the search results.

However, I choose Google as the search engine (as you can see from the image below), while Firefox still being the main browser and I got results to the question below.

What is happening with your browser or duckduckgo search engine? In all my years of using these platforms, I've never had this issue. Yes, I'm Android user and haven't changed any devices. My setup is the sane on all my devices.

I use DuckDuckGo for my basic search engine on both my laptop (Ubuntu system) and iPhone 8. It does not work today - saying "There was an error displaying the search results. Please try again.", needless to say...I have tried a number of times and differed the searches to no avail. I also cleared recent cache/history. Still stuck. Searching on Chrome I see on https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40451490 that others are also experiencing this problem and do not understand it either - just a few entries

The Sun (a rather populist newspaper in UK) has an article saying it is international and happening today, 23 May 2024, suggests no fixes. (Not exactly a reliable source in my thing)

Has anyone ideas or should I just wait and use an alternative search engine meanwhile? Thanks for any help

## Premise ## I only ask a question after I thoroughly and at my best knowledge tried various ways and also what I found in these forums an others. This is another weird one for me.

Firefox 126.0 on a Windows 10 22H2

Hi I have been using Firefox maybe for 20 years... and I noticed in the last possibly 5 years has started to have problems after problems. More like bothers and I am not the only one!

Problems with YouTube videos either not loading properly or no audio and so on, tamed down at present! At some point I stopped using it years ago, then got back to it, but since I did a series of different things/work via browsers, I now have some others set to do one task/work.

Firefox is not only the ;standard browser for 'browsing' and basic shopping.

Anyway, this time from yesterday, DuckDuckGo Search not working any more.

There have not been any Windows or Security updates yesterday.

Any other search add-on works fine, but DuckDuckGo.

What I did:

1. Restarted browser - the obvious one 2. I do not really need to clear Cookies as I use an add on that does it for me as soon as I close a tab or browser 3. Downloaded 126.0 and re-installed it on top 4. No new add-ons were installed, but IU also re-started with all add-ons off 5. Cleared history - everything 6. Internet is fine, reset it - just in case, but also tested on other devices and DuckDuckGo works fine 7. My security is not blocking anything

Has Firefox 126.0 had an heart attack overnight, meaning there is a bug that comes out in certain conditions?

I just get from DuckDuckGo: There was an error displaying the search results. Please try again.

Any other Search work, even the less known such as Qwant and Mojeek. No idea. I wasted so much time... again.

my email will go offline while in use or while other internet programs working fine and only allows "send later". sometimes comes back shortly other times can be hours later. How can I check status and bump it back online without having to shut down and lose work.

Cox has recently given their email to yahoo. While the cox.net email works on yahoo mail when I tried to configure my cox.net email address on tbird mail it failed Will my cox.net email address once again work on tbird mail Thank you

Firefox doesn't allow a web message to be sent but Google Chrome does. After filling out the form at: SPECTRUM URGENT: FUNDING FOR THE AFFORDABLE CONNECTIVITY PROGRAM IS RUNNING OUT, I could not send the message because I got a message saying, "Please enter a 5 digit zip code." but I did enter a 5 digit zip code! I copied the URL into a tab of Google Chrome and there was no zip code error so I was able to send my message.

Will my Thunderbird account stay open with Cox's new platform? I have had a Thunderbird email for at least 15 years and do not want to change to Yahoo as Cox is trying to implement. I am presently getting messages but want to know if I will continue to get ALL of my email if I leave things alone. Please help me.

No matter how I try, I can't get Firefox to save any of my passwords om my brand-new Mac computer. Nor can I reset my primary password, as I was told this might help. It didn't; I couldn't reset or change. Indeed, I don't even remember ever having chosen a primary password. I've been through all sorts instructions, but get stuck being informed that my efforts have been unsuccessful. Would be most grateful for any help. I've noticed that my Firefox browser is taking longer than usual to load web pages, switch between tabs, and respond to user input. This slowdown is affecting my browsing experience and productivity. I've tried restarting the browser and my computer, clearing the cache and cookies, and disabling unnecessary extensions, but the performance issues persist. I'm not sure what else I can do to improve the speed and responsiveness of Firefox.

On opening Tbird I have started getting a Google pop up asking me to sign in to Google to continue to Tbird. This is just annoying as I can access all my email accounts without signing in to Google. I just have to close the annoying pop up every time I open Tbird. How can I stop this happening?

I have installed the German language extension . I can go to a sight written in German and it translates fine . THE SECOND I USE ANY SUB MENU WITHIN THE SIGHT IT DOES NOT TRANSLATE . right clicking and "translate" does not work since "translate" does not exist on the tab .

The firefox translate feature only works on the initial screen !

I can find no setting to fix this

Hello, when I open my firefox browser on my iPhone SE (2nd. Gen.) I receive the attached message. Since I do not want to click on ok, I cannot use firefox anymore. The message does not appear when I use firefox on my computer.

Do you know this message and what can I do? Thanks for you support

Enige weken geleden heb ik mijn mailbestand geexporteerd naar externe harde schijf als back up. Deze externe harde schijf (D:) heb ik nu continue aan mijn laptop gekoppeld. En mijn mail account met bijbehorende postbussen functioneert normaal. Maar als ik nu mijn externe harde schijf loskoppel is wel mijn mailaccount zichtbaar maar zijn alle onderliggende mappen verdwenen, zoals IN, OUT, SEND, ETC. (de lokale mappen zijn wel zichtbaar). Bij de serverinstellingen staat dat berichten worden opgeslagen in D:\ Back up mail dd-mm-jjjj Ik wil graag dat alle postbussen weer op mijn C:\ schijf worden opgeslagen zodat ik de externe harde schijf weer kan verwijderen. Hoe zet ik de mappen weer op C:\ ?
