Recent update switched all folder to show messages grouped into threads. This makes it harder to find new messages. As a result I did not see an email inviting me to a job interview for 2 months. Far too late to act on it.

Updates should NOT change any configuration settings. This is NOT acceptable.

Also, I have a lot of folders. There seems to be no way to set them all to unthreaded all at once. So now, I have to go through them one by one changing them back to the way it was.

I needed that job desperately and now I'm screwed. If I don't find a job in the next couple of weeks, I could be homeless.

The irony is that I have over 35 years of experience writing software but I can't find a job because of age discrimination.

New installation of Thunderbird on WIndows11 - cannot send mail - get the follwoing error message: "outgoing server smptgo.lanlime.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing connections. Please verify that your outgoing server SMTP setttings are correct." WHERE DO I LOOK TO FIND THESE SETTINGS///

Been using Thunderbird for years, seldom have problems. But starting to see the software frequently hanging in the last week or two. Most often, things will be fine, and I'll go to bed. When I wake up, the software is hanging, no messages have been downloaded for hours, the cursor is a small blue spinning circle, and the program is not responding. I have to force-quit with task manager, start it up again, then it runs fine for several hours, before doing the same thing again. Just now, I found it hung again, without having to go to bed first.

I have no way of knowing if any email is being lost during this time or not, but I have no reason to think it is. The problem is not anything major (force quit, then reload is not a horrible inconvenience), but I'd like to avoid the problem.

Only recent change is I created a new gmail account because one place I like to receive emails from seems to be having problems with my own domains' emails, but they don't work with the gmail account either ... go figure. The new gmail account seems to have no problems sending or receiving emails for the most part, but since this problem started happening within the last couple of weeks, and I added the new email in the last couple of weeks, could be connected.

I have used Thunderbird for years and I use it for work. For the last two days, it has started to go slow, and it will freeze and I have to close out of it. This JUST started, and this morning it is almost not functional.

I have looked everywhere I could find to see what I can do and I cannot find anything. I even tried re-installing it.

What can I do?

I am using Thunderbird 115.4.2 (64-bit) on Win10. Some of my emails have those subjects are not readable as image attached. They are supposed to be chinese charaters. In " View Source" choice, they're displaying correctly. But I tried " repair text encoding" didn't work.

And in my Font Advanced setting, it's searchable that there's encoding. But I cannot see it in my interface. If someone could share how it can be fixed?

When I visit NeilYoungArchives.com with Firefox, the formatting of the site is "broken." None of the icons line up properly or are in the same place. It happens every time I visit the site since the last update even in a Private session. This does not happen for any other browser. It is at the current version and runs on a Mac

The first image is the broken Firefox. The second is on Chrome. Safari works fine also.

version 115.4.1 table view. cant resize the FAR RIGHT column no matter what. instead of moving to right and DEcreasing in size, its INcreasing the size of the column on the left..

Recently Youtube refuses to play any videos for me, saying adblockers are against their rules. I have uninstalled Adblock, and reset firefox totally. Youtube is still blocking me. It works fine on Chrome. Do I have to switch to Chrome permanently?

Hello, After update Thunderbird quick filter became very very slow.

If you type in quick filter field two words. At the beginning is being shown random results not connected with typed in words. Then in 30 seconds or later are being loaded correct results. Not possible to use like this. It's local search on normal PC (with CPU AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G, 24GB RAM) filtering must to work fast. Could you fix that issue?

This started two days ago and I've been searching the web for solutions, but all I get are outdated solutions that won't wonk on my current Thunderbird version 115.4.2. When I open the Thunderbird window, two smaller windows open asking for me to enter the passwords for the two att.net accounts. I assumed they meant my AT&T passwords but when I entered them they came back as "failed". I then tried the "master" password I put in several years ago (which I have never needed to re-enter) and that didn't work either. I am attaching a photo of what comes up when I open Thunderbird. You can see the two boxes that want me to enter the passwords but I have no idea what to enter. If it wasn't my master password or my AT&T passwords for each account, it must have been something I used when I installed Thunderbird ten years ago that somehow got deleted or lost.

I downloaded another email client to use temporarily until I get my Thunderbird fixed so I can not get my emails, but I hate this new client for a lot of reasons that are irrelevant here. I hate this new client and I need my Thunderbird back. Can anyone give me any idea on how to find the right password or to change the password so it will work again?

I'm using Thunderbird with my hotmail account and have never had a problem before yesterday. Now I get this error message. "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. I am unable to play any videos on firefox only because of this WidevindCDN crash messages. i have updated firefox to the latest version and restarted the device and tried again however this error keeps showing up and doesnt let any video play. Please fix

I work with my tabs a lot. When I open an attachment, Thunderbird opens a new tab and buts the content of the attachment (pdf) into a new tab. Often I need to save my work and stop working that day, and just let my computer go into sleep mode with Thunderbird still open in windows. In the previous versions, I could just start working the next day, and all my tabs are populated with the attachments and information I left open the day before. With this new update 115.4.2 (32-bit) it does not retain any of the information in any of the tabs that were previously left open. It only happens when the computer has been sleeping overnight or for an extended period of time. If I put the computer to sleep and then wake it up pretty quickly it keeps the tabs just fine. Very frustrating

Long time user (love it) but the browser is consuming a lot of memory. With the same windows open in Chrome, Firefox is consuming 5 times the amount making the system slower glitchy.

This has been an issue for awhile and I checked all the posted solutions. Either the software is consuming an that is normal or something is running in the background. Firefox is at 1831.5 MB as I type this.

Can I uninstall then reinstall? or is everything going to return?

Hello, Unfortunately after last updating to supernova Thunderbird very often freezes/crashes (several times a day). Is there any solution to this problem. I'm using version 115.4.2 (64bit) on Windows 11. This happens in several work stations.

I've notice FF in the past month has stooped maintaining scroll position upon refreshing. It was working perfectly until recently. maintain scroll position upon refreshing is a key feature to my work. Please help!

I check 7 different email accounts. Now when I check them and click on an email the whole section will go to the top or the bottom, Then I need to scroll down or scroll up to get back to the new emails. And different email accounts do different things. I use Windows 11 - 64 bit. I've really liked Thunderbird over the years, have contributed so I hope these flaws gets fixed. It's just so problematic to use it now. I don't have the time to spend hours searching through threads to find if it's even fixable.

Hello- I am having a very strange thing when using Firefox. I type and certain letters pop that I have not typed. It is different letters that are affected. it has been the E a number 2 shows instead s a m shows instead. There have been others but I did not make note, My solution is to close firefox and reopen. I have updated to newest version. Do you know why this is happening and a better solution. Also when I go to Chrome the letters do not transpose. HElp Stephana

How can I stop Firefox refreshing each time I have to leave to approve a purchase or get Info for a form please. It's so frustrating. I literally tap back on the window and it updates. No one seems to know why.
