Hello, While the display size is correct on my MacBook Pro 2021 screen is OK, it is huge and unusable on my second monitor (see images). My layout.css.devPixelsPerPx is set at 2.5. If I set it at default (-1), the external monitor display is OK, but the internal monitor is so small that it is unreadable (to the extend that it was actually hard to figure out how to revert back to so I moved the window to the external monitor). This is a bug. There should be a setting per monitor or the default should follow the System Preferences setting for all monitors.

Please fix this quickly!

I use gmvault to back up several years worth of emails, and it's working very nicely. What I'm missing is an easy way to access those emails, which area stored as a pair of files per email—<id>.eml.gz and <id>.meta in a folder structure organised by date—db/2011-06/ for example for June 2011. The .meta file is JSON with some gmail-related stuff in it (gm_id, threads, flags, internal_date, subject, etc.)

I'd love to have a nice interface and even search capability across all those emails, but it doesn't seem like Thunderbird can support compressed files by default. Is there any setting or add-on which might enable this? I rarely need to access these old emails, but when I do it's painful to have to manually decompress and re-compress them.

Have been using Mail Merge for several years. Comcast e-mail send quota is 1000 messages/day. Mail Merge had been working well with occasional batches of 900+ messages.

Since updating to Thunderbird 115, Thunderbird stops sending e-mails after approximately 11 e-mails. Messages 5-9 kb each, no attachments. Screen shot of error message attached.

Thunderbird will resume sending if I exit Thunderbird, wait for cache to empty, restart Thunderbird WITHOUT the "ask to send unsent e-mails" activated, then use the "Send Unsent E-mails" menu item.

Do you have any idea what may be happening?

I have set up my junk mail controls as described in the support literature, and while junk messages reliably have the red junk tag set, they still appear in my in box(s), rather than going directly to the junk folder as I intend. If I manually (re)mark them as junk then they do immediately go into the junk folder. How can I make them go directly to the junk folder rather than to the inbox? My email accounts are also accessed by my iPhone via Mail (since there is no iPhone Thunderbird app). Could this be related to my problem?

I've snooped the Help section but can't find/understand an answer! I have my Composition set to Default, but whenever I forward an HTML email (often a publicity piece) to anyone it places it inline as text, as below. So what should I change to always send the 'pretty' version?

I want to be able to send plaintext messages with long lines wrapped (eg. 80 characters) while respecting the indent of the line.

I would like to have something along these lines: ``` Some text:

I have the settings described here and they work fine to wrap long lines, but not to indent text.

For example, VScode supports this (I add snapshots).

Also, when clicking "Enter" to go to the next line, it would be nice if the new line is indented the same as the previous one, again, as in VScode.

In my Firefox settings I have selected "check for updates but let [me] choose to install them" but Firefox automatically installs updates while I'm using it and immediately requires me to restart the browser. All navigation thereafter returns a page saying I have to restart Firefox to continue.

It's incredibly annoying to have to then sign in to all half dozen or more sites that I was already signed in to. I'm going to have to abandon Firefox if this continues.

Is it a security setting my employer configured? I think I have the same problem at home.

Hi, I'm running ... Firefox 120.0? On a US Samsung Galaxy S22 running Android 14 and One UI 6.0.

Korean characters used to display in a uniform font but after a recent phone update, I now get different fonts (with greatly decreased readability). I can't find any font options in the Firefox app and the only thing language-related is what language Firefox menus are in. I also can't find any relevant font options in the phone settings either - can someone help?

How do I paste in the game forge of empires chat windows with my mouse and without clipboard, it will only allow me to use clipboard control V for keyboard not my mouse, using my mouse to select all, copy, it's fine, cannot use paste with mouse,

So, I had three windows open in private mode, then the (stupid) software decides to crash (or rather, restart automatically for an update) and I lose all those tabs from those windows (ALTHOUGH NOT MY CHOICE, OR FAULT) then several search results say install PrivateBrowsingHistoryRecovery add on, however the links go nowhere. Surely Mos FuryInducingF_x don't prevent the installation of an add on that might actually make their software better, useful?

Hello, I use ubuntu on my M$ surface go2 tablet, and I wonder, if it's possible to enable video touch control (HTML5 player) on video sites other than youtube, like I have in android or chromeOS. On Android this option works always. On ChromeOS doesn't work in privacy mode (no idea why, there is no addons or extensions, just pure firefox.

I know ther is option in PiP option, but is it possible to use just double tap on screen instead of small buttons? (now double tap turns on and off full screen).

I have this one page which has "meta refresh" set to 2 minutes, and the page displays my own data from some sensors so it has to be that way.

Anyway, the tab is making the clicking sound whenever it reloads the page. Muting the tab doesn't help.

Is there a way to disable the "click" when the tab reloads in the background?

hi, firstly i would like to ask how can i open email attachments in another window, rather than as a attachment opening in thunderbird. for example, when i opened a windows document attachment, it used to open a separate page away from thunderbird and not sit in the taskbar (the section at the top of thunderbird) and the same with adobe attachments, they used to open in adobe as a separate file rather than next door to the windows document in the task bar. secondly, as i have got used to the above changes (but not ideal), but now, when i open any attachments and leave them in the taskbar, if i restart (close) thunderbird and re-open, the attachments in the task bar shows

Hi, i'm a new firefox user and I've looked online for the last hour looking for a fix, but nothing. I have 2 monitors and when I click from one to the other or alt + tab, all my tabs become darkened, from white to having faded / being much darker, I'd want to not have that, is there a way?

Example of not darked darkened / faded tabs / darkened:

The netflix, giazo, imdb and youtube tab is not darkened. (not alt tabbed or clicked on second monitor). The other one is darkened, alt tabbed, clicked on second monitor.

What would it take for Mozilla to offer a version of Firefox without permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions, and just offer them by selection upon installation, or offer a a registry editor program to add and/or remove them, or simply a paid-for version without them? A paid for browser that could be configured the way a person wants it would be worth the cost of such a browser.

Refreshing does not work. Disabling does not work as they are enabled after another update, upgrade or by accessing your Firefox account.

Many years ago, M$ was sued for making Internet Explorer an integral part of the operating system yet is being allowed to do the same with Edge today. Just as back then, the browser cannot be permanently uninstalled from Windows, unlike with a Linux OS. Example: Mint will work perfect without the automatically installed Firefox browser should a user want to have a different browser. However, since undesired plugins and/or extensions can be permanently removed, there is no need to uninstall and remove Firefox.

Unfortunately, although I love the Vivaldi browser (which is built from Google's chromium architecture, just like chrome and many others) for any M$ or Linux OS, there are two features Firefox offers still unavailable with Vivaldi at this time. Therefore, Firefox remains my backup browser and for when I would like to use those two features unavailable with Vivaldi. However, Firefox would become the default browser not just for me, but an unknown huge number of users if permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions could be permanently disabled and/or removed because users want less intrusion and thus more security.

Firefox is a great browser. However, not being able to permanently remove permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions is more than a nuisance. Reason: If the built-in plugins and/or extensions can be re-enabled after an update, upgrade, or accessing your Firefox account, then there must be some type of script, sub-routine, program or AI detecting the permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions that have been disabled. That by definition is spying.

What is needed is a method to permanently remove permanent built-in plugins and/or extensions, or at least prevent the disabled built-in plugins and/or extensions from being enabled again.

Perhaps Amazon.com, Bing, DuckDuckGo, eBay and Google and Wikipedia are paying $$$ to be embedded within Firefox which may be needed by Mozilla for the ongoing development of updates and upgrades. If so, a paid-for browser might eliminate the need for Bing, DuckDuckGo, eBay and Google and Wikipedia to be included.

Read about using the Project Fission settings in about:config and only needed to change the gfx.webrender.all to True but I don't see the 'F' when hovering over the current tab to prove it's working.

Dubious as to whether this 'built-in' sandbox is as robust as Sandboxie.
