Hi, I had to reinstall my windows where I thought my Firefox would sync up upon reinstallation. However, nothing would sync up and the best I could do myself was to import pretty out-of-date Chrome data. When I to my firefox account and scroll to connected services I see my last PC name with its firefox login. Is there any way to recover that data and import to my current device? I read you kept sync data as encrypted data on your Mozilla servers, so I hope that's a viable solution.

After many years of using Thunderbird I am now considering ditching it. I am continually getting the Authorisation Failure message when trying to open Thunderbird. Why does this keep happening? It does not happen on my Android devices, just on Windows 11. I have tried deleting all three gmail accounts and re entering them. All is fine until I close down Thunderbird and then open it again. I run Norton 360 and have tried taking off Norton email security, but that didn't work. Any ideas, please?

Hi, I have two accounts in my Thunderbird. They are Gmail (regular gmail account) and CFCC (an institutional account). The CFCC shows up in my Unified Folder list but the Gmail does not. Is that normal? The main Inbox is showing all incoming emails from both accounts so no performance issues, just wondering how to get rid of the CFCC (if that's possible) to eliminate clutter. I was using TB like normally on windows 11 when it crashed. Now every time i try to open the app it prompts me to send in a crash report, but every time i press "restart thunderbird" a new window with crash report shows up. I have tried writing a comment, checking and unchecking all the boxes and pressing quit thunderbird. But i still get sent into the loop.

It all started when I deactivated my account. When I click sign in I'm getting:

I've tried clearing cache but I still get the same browser. I've tried a different browser and go to the sign in page to enter my account/pw but as soon as it finishes logging me in I get the same error.

I have TB for Android set up and working. This is a lw end tab for my needs away from home.

I have set up mail identities as well as signatures fo r3 accounts I am working with for personal, hobby, and business. So far it is working fine.

However, today I attempted to add a second identity to one of the Gmail accounts which TB on my Windows 11 system allows, but on the Android version it is not allowing a 2nd identity on any of the accounts.

Is this a bug or something reserved for the premium, version. There is no pop up or other indication telling me otherwise. The "Save" icon is just grayed out. I also scanned this forum and was not immediately able to get anything on this item.

Before facebook using reCAPTCHA I can easily logo in my Facebook and Instagram account, but now I always failed to pass the reCAPTCHA， I report this to Meta no good reply. Only today I did the reCAPTCHA and then got a reminder that facebook cannot detect the reCAPTCHA. I still cannot logo on to my facebook and instagram account due to reCAPTCHA. When I add sites for exceptions, why isn't this carried with my Firefox account and it shows up in every instance of Firefox when i am signed in? It is a nuisance to keep re-adding them everywhere. Also, when Firefox updates, why do I have to re=enter what I already done. It is a pain.

I have been using Thunderbird almost 30 years.

I have Thunderbird Windows 10 desktop most recent version: 140.12.1esr (32-bit) and Android Thunderbird version 20.1

I have successfully installed a couple of gmail accounts using the QR code. Trying to install other email accounts, I only see the outbox, not any of the message folders.

Is there some trick I am missing here?

I changed ISP's this week and my computer connects via Ethernet cable through my router. I have no real issues accessing the internet. But after waking from sleep or restarting, Firefox displays the network login prompt. How do I get rid of it? Thanks.

I'm getting off a Verizon phone account and want to export my contacts before I do. I use an (old!) iPhone 8 so I can't export using their Verizon Cloud app because my operating system is too old. Is there a way to import into Thunderbird using a USB cord? Or is there a recommended non-evil app that could allow me to do the same with my phone contacts?

Hello, yesterday my 2025 Macbook restarted on it's own and my Firefox browser restarted too, and while it brought me back to all the tabs I had open, every single one of my bookmarks has disappeared. I only have one profile. All my extensions are working properly. The bookmarks sidebar and toolbar are both completely wiped clean. I've tried to go through the backup and restore options provided in this community previously, but going into my library and clicking 'backup' or 'restore' has done nothing. How can I recover my bookmarks? I had been saving small business links for years that are now just gone for seemingly no reason.

I have been told to disable my ad-blocker by some commercial web sites and I understand that. I don't want to change my default browser but this is a recent development that seems to be impairing my viewing of pertinent items placed on legitimate web sites. On Ununtu 24.04 I did an update and youtube doesn't work on FIrefox 152.0.4. I did an update from the Software updater and videos don't play on youtube any more. I go to youtube, click on a suggested video and it goes to that page and everything shows up except the video window. I have the title and the comments and the row of suggested videos on the right, but no video player and no video. Someone suggested I push the F12 key and look under console and there is an error there, a sourcemap error and that it isn't a valid URL . I don't know what that means. I asked on the AskUbuntu site but they get really far down in the weeds and I have no idea what they are asking or saying. I thought I'd see if you guys might know. thanks

I'm on Windows 11. After I added some plug-ins and extensions to replace the ones that went missing during your last update, my bookmarks also went missing. (They were there before I replaced the plug-ins and extensions.) I followed your instructions on how to access my bookmark back ups, and found them. However, everytime, I tried to install one of the backups, I ended up with no bookmarks at all in Firefox.

Please help, I have no access to any of my accounts!
