I'm using FF5 for Mac and recently installed Java for Mac OSX 10.5 update 10. Since then java no longer works in FF and I cannot find any java plugin in my add-ons (don't know if a plugin was there before the java update, but java worked ok). I tried reinstalling the java update, uninstalling and reinstalling FF5....no luck. My mac won't let my install an older version of java. I don't know if it's directly related to the update or if something is corrupted in FF. Java is working fine in Safari. I installed Google Chrome-java doesn't work. That makes me think it's related to the java update, but I never had Chrome before so I can't be sure. I thought if it was directly related to the java update many people would be affected and the internet would be filled with similar questions, but I haven't heard any yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I have noticed recently that Firefox is taking upwards of 20sec. to load pages and often cannot find the server(I have to reload the page). I did not realize how low it had gotten until I start using safari and it seemed so fast in comparison. Does anyone know what is going on? Also, I have read a DIY fix on another conversation which states to fix the problem "To disable OCSP go to about:config from firefox and change security.OCSP.enabled to be 0. " Is this the fix? and is it safe? Does mozilla field any of these questions or is it all user help?

Firefox is extremely slow for the past couple of weeks. I can't even open my banking site. I can't scroll or type without painful delays. I keep seeing the color wheel spinning and then after several seconds, it seems whatever is happening is finished and things return to normal for a few more seconds and then I get the same thing. Everything is fine on Safari.

Now, everytime I type www into the address bar www.jizzhut.com shows up. I have cleared cookies, history and everything, yet it won't go away. I even deleted firefox all together and it still persisted.

Firefox automatically updates on my computer. During the last update a pop-up told me safety features were no longer available and may leave my computer vulnerable. What does this mean and what can I do. I really want to continue to use firefox but don't want my computer to be "infected".

Some web pages I open up have chinese-looking text in places. It seems to be where advertisements might be (after looking at the page through Safari) but sometimes it is the whole page.

How do I turn off the Firefox update popup window? I am not going to upgrade from 3.6.17 I liked the way Firefox was configured up till now. I tried the new upgrade and I didn't like the changed toolbars, The toolbars are reversed in the newer version, and frankly don't make any sense. There are other features too which are totally annoying. If I can' turn off that pop up up grade window I am going to get rid of Firefox and use a different browser like Safari, which I don't like as much as Firefox but it is more simple so probably better.

I keep finding words on web pages (including my own) written in green and doubly underlined (described as 'Text enhance') that provide a hyperlink to "Groupon". Why does this happen and how can I stop it?

I keep getting demands to update my version of firefox every time I wake up my computer, but I use a Power PC and the newest version isn't compatible. Please, either create a version that will work with OS 10.5.8 or fix the updater so it does a comparison between the OS of the host and the system requirements of the update. I know you should be able do it because you have the full details of my PC listed below. Otherwise, I'll probably give up firefox because of the nuisance value! Sorry

i accidentally hit block images from photos and now can't view all my photos on facebook. how do i undo this? I have a MAC computer and all the answers seem to have to do with windows.

Firefox 4 is incredibly slow. It is making it very difficult for me to work on the internet. I want to de-install it and return to the previous version, which was much faster. Please advise me about how to de-install Firefox 4. thank you, sj

Did the feature get dropped in the update? If not, where can I find it in the toolbars? I'm already very disappointed in Firefox 4, and losing this feature isn't exactly helping matters.

Please note Firefox is crashing every time I tried to open a pdf document I find in any internet webside. This is happening since I have installed Firefox 6.0.2. I temporarily solved the issue going back to Firefox 5. The problem is that my Mac installs automatically all the updates that might come from Firefox, including new or greater versions.... So, here I am again with Firefox 6.0.2 and not able to open Adobe pdf documents.....

Would you please kindly assist to fix this issue...? Please note I have systematically sent a report every time Firefox has crashed, so you might have quite a few by now!

I keep getting popups to update to Firefox 9.0 because its faster etc. I look at the tour and it tells me it will prompt me if I already have one open. I WANT THE SAME SITE OPEN IN SEVERAL TABS depending on what I'm working on. Is that still possible with the updated version. IF NOT, I don't want it, but none of the FAQ questions even address my question.

I have an iMac. Mac OSX .... Version 10.5.8 I have had Firefox installed for a long time, and use it more often than Safari lately. However, when I am on the FF page where it tells you which plug-ins are okay and which are outdated (with a warning), at the top of the page there is a message saying that my computer "Does not meet the requirements to run Firefox". And yet I have it and use it! Maybe the message actually means that I can't update to the latest version? But also I don't know if I should go ahead and try to download the updated plug-ins. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have Firefox 16.0.2 because it's the latest version compatible with with Mac OS 10.5. I'm not willing to upgrade my Mac right now because it works perfectly fine (aside from not being compatible with stuff), and I don't feel like paying or going through the hassle. I'm so far behind right now that I would have to update my operating system at least three times to get up to date. I used to have some sort of plug-in or extension that allowed me to view PDFs in my browser. It was buggy, but it was working up through yesterday. Then I was having some issues, no idea what they were, and ended up having to reset Firefox. I lost all my add-ons. I have been unsuccessful in finding whatever it was I had before. Is there ANY possible way I can view PDFs in my browser? This is driving me absolutely nuts.

Am running Firefox 3.6.6 (on OS X 10.5.8) and upgraded Xmarks to 3.7 this morning. Now Xmarks cannot login and even after following prompts to Whitelist 'login.xmarks.com' several times, even if this already shows in my Whitelist, it still cannot login! Help!
