Dear sir, madam, I have a Thunderbird account. I have access to it and to the menu, but I have to put a password in to receive my new emails. I don't know my password and have tried really everything that is suggested on your website to get my password, renew it, access a reboot-option etc: nothing works - I still keep getting a window where I am asked to put in the password for my account.  Cox cable just discontinued their email server and moved all it's email accounts to Yahoo.

I had been using Thunderbird successfully with Cox for several months before this happened.

 I am able to send and receive emails now via my new online Yahoo server;  however I have not

been able to connect / use Thunderbird to send and receive emails since the Yahoo changeover. I have tried many things, but I either get a "failed" error message or a "timed out" error message. Yahoo support has not been able to figure this one out. They are hard to get a hold of and hard to understand (communicate with). They are overseas from the US.

 I appreciate any help you can offer.

Hello, Linux environment is running on my chromebook, thunderbird has been installed. 2 issues: - When I try to install an extension, I always get a message "This extension will have permission to have unlimited access to thunderbird and the computer". and I'm stuck. The add button does not trigger any action. This does the same thing if I want to install a dictionary from the settings. - I have no access shared folders like my Drive on my Chromebook, despite having Linux sharing enabled. I did a 'refresh' of my browser, thinking that basic user information would be saved. But I lost all my tabs in OneTab (extension). Is it possible to recover them?

samsung s21 has fireefox default browser and google home page. since 10am this morning 1/8/24, can not get google home page to disply, only blank page.

works ok with home pc, motorola, and on chrome on s21. verizon tech and samsung tech help are stumped. any ideas how to fix?

uninstalled, reinstalled several times, cleared data, history everything. argh!

Sadly, my old Windows 10 PC crashed, and I'm migrating to a new computer. I have a backup of the old default profile folder (9k7faw1z.default), but not of the entire Profiles folder. I have tried to import this old default profile using the import function in my new Thunderbird install on my new Windows 11 computer.

Alas, I get the error message "Import failed unexpectedly; more information may be available in the Error Console." I looked in the error console, and it's empty.

Is there a better way to import my old data from my old default profile folder? It's 3GB of valuable data and I'll be in a pickle if I can't access it.

Enabling my incoming emails. This has been failing for weeks. I reset my account with thunderbird and made a donation (thinking that was the problem) but I am still not receiving incoming emails. Tried and checked all my account settings - cannot find what the problem is. Please help.

I have some Bookmarks on my laptop. I have some of these Bookmarks (Not all) on my tablet, plus some other Bookmarks.

If I sync them, which direction does the sync work in? Will all my Bookmarks on my laptop now appear on my tablet (Which I do not want to happen)? Will all my Bookmarks on my tablet now appear on my laptop (Which I do want)? Will I end up with two copies of most Bookmarks, because all my laptop Bookmarks are transfered to my tablet, plus all my tablet Bookmarks are transfered to my laptop?

I cannot find any explanatioin of what Sync actually does.

For some reason when I try to download a screenshot of [this tweet] it fails every time; I tested it and it's just that tweet specifically. This has never happened before and I assume it's just a bug since copy-pasting still works. Any help with this?

For a few weeks now, FIrefox will not play DRM content video on this computer. I have tried all the suggested solutions and none have worked. Also, I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but the problem remains. I am very frustrated with this problem and am ready to get rid of Firefox permanently on ALL our computers unless this can be fixed.

Want to:

• Sort email by newest on top
• Include sub-emails within threads for the newest on top (currently still oldest on top)
• Apply this default setting to all. I don't want to sort every account, every folder manually. That's too tedious.

Thunderbird has oldest on top. This includes emails within a thread/conversation. Changing the sort to newest on top does not change the emails within the thread/conversation. The sort does not apply to all emails. I find this very annoying.

I have windows 11 pro 23H2 and latest Firefox installed. I have no keyboard attached to computer and when I touch the adress bar nothing happens, touch keyboard does not show up. I tried with 3 different computers. Edge and Chrome works and shows the touch keyboard. Any suggestions or is there a bug?
