One reason would be that I have so much stuff in Safari—hundreds of tabs open, folders, history—that I wouldn’t want to lose, and even if there’s a way to move it all to Firefox, I’m not sure that I’d trust that nothing would be lost. But there are a number of things I run up against that aren’t compatible with Safari, so I need to have an alternative for those times, without being forced into the googleverse with Chrome. Thanks. I am trying to install Firefox on a new iPad. I keep being sent in circles telling me to download it before trying to get extensions. But it shows on the homepage of my unit and appears installed. What am I doing wrong? I have gone to the App Store several times to “open” it.
