I want to have a different browser settings for both browsing the web and controlling my media player.

I currently do this by using a different browser, firefox for web and opera for a local web based music player.

Ideally I would like a browser instance that only has only Close and Minimise buttons and retains size and position. I cannot seem to do this with any browser, they all want to give me tabs, menus, shortcuts, in short, to much clutter. I have managed to create a chromeless window but then that becomes the default for all browing windows.

I would like to achieve this with just Firefox.

My last try was this, with Chrome because Firefox wouldnt play at all.

--app="data:text/html,<script>window.location='http://moode.local/#notarget';window.resizeTo(750,600);window.moveBy(246, 50);</script>"

When viewing extensions in the overflow menu, items become cutoff. Sometimes a scrollbar will be displayed, allowing you to view the rest. At other times, you are not able to navigate to the other information at all. I tried to use ctrl + (+ or -) to try and zoom out, but only the size was able to become bigger or smaller, not the scaling.

Hello, fellow Mozilla/Thunderbird lovers and supporters. It gives me no pleasure to advise you of this, as a 76-year old tech-friendly male, particularly as I've derived great pleasure over 10 years from Mozilla and Thunderbird.

Recently I bought a new Chromebook and have had nothing but stress, inconvenience, headaches etc in my efforts to instal and customise Thunderbird on it. Of course, I've implored, pleaded, offered to pay etc for tuition with Mozilla Community and Support towards that end - but never even got a reply!!!

Mozilla/Thunderbird should realise that there must be thousands, elderly, like me, only dying to pay for your well-established expertise to satisfy their tech wants. Mozilla ask for donations - what better way to get donations than to help and hand-hold in this way.

You have great services and products but don't seem to realise that there are thousands of people, like me, who do NOT have your expertise and are willing to learn and pay for it.

I regret leaving Mozilla/Thunderbird and going to Gmail but I've no option. Goodbye.

I started using a MacBook Pro which has a bright touch bar where the function keys would usually be on a keyboard, but I like to customize it by removing most of the icons because it don't really use them. For Safari I went to View > Customize Touch Bar, but for Firefox I cannot seem to find that option in the menu bar. Is there any way to customize the touch bar for Firefox as well? Thank you.

I have been using Firefox for years, and until today everything was working okay. Now, all of a sudden, whenever I try to open a PDF using my school library's website, I am being asked to either open a PDF in Firefox, Adobe, or save the file. Because my library allows me to view PDF copies of books and access the table of contents, this does not work for me. Again, all was fine yesterday, but today it has suddenly become an issue.

I've configured a default identity using "manage identities" in "account settings". When responding to an email from an email list though, it chooses the smtp server account identity instead of the one I've selected as the default.

I've verified that Thunderbird correctly uses the configured default when composing a fresh email. When responding to an email on which one of my identities is in the 'to' or 'cc', it uses that one, which also seems reasonable.

I'm using version 78.13.0 (64-bit)

I've just added UK English and restarted Firefox. Now, why can I not remove US English, even though that one shouldn't be in use, and I still can remove UK English, even though that one *is* in use (or should be)?

Greying out a button is only recommended when it's crystal clear why that is. In this case, I have no clue why I couldn't remove US English, and so gryeing out that button makes no sense to me. It should be enabled, and display a message explaining why a language can't be removed if it can't be.

For the moment, can someone please explain why US English can't be removed then?

For some versions now (probably since v 90) when I go to tools - preferences - general the system won't display the general preferences and the only way out is to kill the program and start again. Choosing other options usually at least show the fields - but is very slow and sometimes hangs. If anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate it.

A few months ago Firefox decided to double space all the items in menus. Reading through the forums many people didn't like this because of the amount of space that the menus now take up. Fortunately there was a work around, by setting 'browser.proton.contextmenus.enabled to false they returned to normal

This morning Firefox my got upgraded and the double spacing problem is back again. However there appears to be a bug with the setting and the menus won't return to normal. I'm now stuck with stupidly large menus that won't fit on the screen and lots of painful scrolling.

Does anybody have an alternative workaround until this is fixed?
