I am a very long-time Thunderbird user. I store my e-mails in many folders, and in all folders I have the unread highlighted. In my primary, very large inbox, the total number and the number of unread messages are normally displayed, and in the message list, the unread are highlighted. I was using a filter for something else totally unrelated, and suddenly I began seeing only total e-mail number, and the unread are no longer highlighted. The unread are still highlighted in my other folders. Is there some way to get the unread messages in my primary inbox marked again? Otherwise I often don't know which to read. I'm talking about thousands of messages, not just a few! Thank you.

[SHIFT]+[DEL] works to permanently delete single messages, but when multiple emails are selected the emails just go to the trash as if I hadn't used [SHIFT]+[DEL].

I have not disabled the warning pop up which asks you to confirm that you really want to permanently delete the emails. I get this warning when there is only one message selected but not when multiple messages are selected.

When I look at the trash I see that the selected emails are there instead of being immediately deleted.

I am having this problem in Troubleshoot mode as well. This is in Linux on a Chromebook.

Scenario: I have a custom domain with an email address, and have used mailbox.org and currently icloud to host my email. In both cases, the email address associated with my custom domain is the only one I use for everything, such as email, calendar, contacts, etc (x@er.com). Also in both cases, there is also a login email address to the email hosting service (i.e. x@mailbox.com and x@icloud.com respectively).

Issue: My calendar invites erroneously send from my icloud email address, rather than my custom domain email address. This appears to be by defaul and unchangeable. See 1/2 screenshot.

Settings: I'm on W11 Pro, using TB 115.10.1 (64-bit). For calendar settings, see 2/2 screenshot.

Background: With both providers, my calendar invites initially were being sent from the correct email address (x@er.com), but inexplicably switched to the being sent from login email address of the email hosting service after some time (about a year with mailbox.org, and a couple of months after migrating to icloud.com). This messes up my calendars, and I need to resolve it. Hopefully it's just something dumb that I'm doing.

What I've tried: On mailbox.org: When the issue first occured I put up with it for a few weeks then assumed it was probably mailbox.org and migrated to icloud. This appeared to resolve the problem at the time. On icloud, my calendar sync was setup in TB using add-ons, which worked for a couple of months and then the issue recurred. I've tried: 1. In apple account settings: I tried changing my apple-id to be my custom domain email address, rather than my icloud email address (didn't fix it). 2. I then unsubscribed from all of my network calendars in TB, removing the addons and restarting TB, as per https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1406255#answer-1568028 - I had to add a blank local calendar first before I was able to remove all of the network calendars. 3. I then added my calendars back into TB by using the direct URL locations, as per https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1406112 - when adding the calendars back, I tried using the login as both my custom domain email address, and also my icloud email address (didn't fix it).

Any help would be much appreciated.

Not anti-Virus or firewall issue because I shut them down. to test. With both on it sends in troubleshooting mode.

I have spent many hours combing thru possible solutions.

I can no longer play any podcast since upgrade to 125.0.3 The arrow/button to play any podcast is neutral, is not active. Or, on spotify if finding a podcast on gardening, clicking the play button plays something on a completely different topic.

When I try to open and email link, it immediately starts to download Firefox Installer. It is already downloaded and up-to-date. This has been going on now for almost a year. Please help me.

I am running Windows 10 (64-bit) Version 22H2 OS build 19045.4355 with the Firefox browser v125.0.3 and since updating to the latest Firefox version I am no longer able to load more than 17 Tradingview tabs and the Tradingview tabs I do upload take a long to to refresh or to save changes too. I do not have this issue using other browsers.

It takes forever for my home page (MSN) to load when I first start Firefox. Can that process be speeded up? I suspect there's a way to get my home page to load faster. Can someone help? Thank you, Firefox.

My email was converted from Cox to Yahoo by Yahoo on a system wide conversion on April 27th. In the transition I lost all the emails in my Thunderbird inbox from 4/12 back to the first of the year. I also lost everything in my draft folder.

Carbonite did a restore of the default file (that was dated 4/8) by couldn't get these back. Need to get everything that was in the inbox and draft file on 4/26 (or sometime prior) What can I do?

Quite often I find that Thunderbird is very slow to obtain a connection with my Outlook account. I can run my Outlook directly and everything is updated in about 20 seconds and at the same time it may take a couple of minutes up to a few minutes for Thunderbird to complete downloading. Additionally, many times during this lag in connecting, I receive a message that the password is incorrect, which is bogus; all I have to do is select "Retry" and the download process continues. I am using the latest version of Thunderbird "115.10.2 (64-bit)." This problem has been occurring on previous versions as well.

After last 2 updates several emails were showing up as code. I think I have that stopped. But now 1 email combines with many with to & subject correct, but the from & preview is all the same email from Amazon from 2017.As time goes on, it takes over more emails. My phone email is fine, so this is strictly a Thunderbird issue again.I used sfc/scannow & it said it found problems & they were repaired. Now I see a few more emails look like this. I'm about ready to chuck Thunderbird & go back to Outlook. This has been going on for several weeks with the first issue, the combined emails just started today.

Needed to look through my April history (pages looked at) in the Library. I had APRIL history up, ready to look through it. I tried to delete one page and it DELETED the whole MONTH. How do i get the APRIL history back? APRIL is gone from the list. jumps to March after the last 7 days

I went to RESTORE but this talks about BOOKMARKS It shows for today may 7, 149 items for example then it shows April 29, april 9, april 4 april 1, each with about 150 items but if I were to click on these it says will replace all BOOKMARKS,

On my iMac 2017, up-to-date OS, Firefox won't load YouTube. It only shows the spaces for videos. Attached is a screen shot with the console info, but I don't know what it's telling me. However, on my MacBook YouTube works fine, so maybe I have a setting wrong on the iMac? Meanwhile, I just switch to Safari. Thanks for any help

When I click on the arrow to acquire any emails from my isp it will often say downloading 3 emails or 5 emails or some number, but only one or two come in. I have to hit the arrow again to get more. Sometimes it will say downloading some number of emails, but NOTHING comes in. I don't remember this happening until about a month ago. Can you help?

I have a calendar event with multiple people set up. I want to add a person to the event and only send a new invite to the new person (and not send a second invite to the original invitees). Is this possible? thanks.

Along with most of the world, I hate threads. My normal practice is to keep only the last email in a thread quoting all the contributions, and to delete the rest. Then I have one email with everything about that in it, with a history trail. I've done this for years and years. Then, some time last year, after an update of Thunderbird, everything was in threads. Someone replies to my message, and the thread goes missing from Sent, and appears in Inbox, but not marked as unread - you only see this when you expand the thread. If you reply, it jumps back into Sent. Finding anything is now a time-consuming nightmare. But there also appears to be at least one bug.

Suppose I now go into a thread and delete an intervening email. Thunderbird clears the preview panel of emails. If I click on Sent then back in Inbox, they reappear! But if I'm now confused as to exactly what that delete did to how many emails, I click Edit / Undo Delete. What it seemed to do tonight when I hit the Delete was get rid of a big chunk of the large thread, including some emails I hadn't read yet, and some not in this or other threads! They are not in the Deleted folder - they are gone! I think it has also done this before. What a mess! As for evidence, reproducing it is not something I want to do.

Hello, I have Webmail by Godday. I have been using Thunderbird for many years to connect to my accounts without issue. Past couple days I get an error message saying it can't connect to the server. Godaddy says they haven't changed anything. I can log in on Webmail but not with Thunderbird. Thunderbird brings up my mail from before it couldn't log in so I have all my stuff I have saved but I can't get new mail or send mail. I deleted Cache, restarted and all that... Disabled add-ons in trouble shooting mode. Here is what I got. Much appreciated
