i recently lost some data i want to get back, and this may be my last attempt, but is it by any chance stored here? and if it is, how do i transfer it back to my regular cache/cookies/data/bookmark folders

I tried to log in to my Firefox getting started page which used to just load. It now appears to need a log in which I try to do using my Gmail credentials. The password comes up as being incorrect which I know is not the case. If I try to change it I get as far as a Gmail code being sent to my account but when I enter that it says that is incorrect. I have not been able to load the getting started page since.

Your help utility needs help. -results don't show date, must open each item. Results seem to not be listed in date order. What a mess to sort through. I can't select a desired date range, or select by release version number. -your search tool isn't very effective, I keep getting unrelated results. I do better by searching google to find the help I want regarding Firefox.

Why is Firefox autofilling the address bar with URLS I've never visited? There is a question on this from 5 years ago, with lots of suggestions. My problem is that Firefox is autofilling with sites that contain confidential login information.

I use a personal firewall. Every unknown program that attempts to access the network triggers a popup message requesting permission.

Right after the installation, Firefox.exe initiated a message, stating the following path: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe". I granted access.

However, weeks after the installation, the updater.exe asked for permission, stating a very unusual path of itself. The path is "\device\harddiskvolume3\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Maintenance Service\update\updater.exe".

This seems unusual to me, since apps normally use 'C:\' to refer to harddiskdrive0. It is also suspect, since there are only two drives connected and the Disk Management tool (as an admin) indicates, that there are harddiskdrive0 and harddiskdrive1. There are no hard disk drives 2 or 3.

I also wondering about the fact, that the about firefox screen states, that firefox is up to date - even I did not granted access for the updater.exe in the past. There has never been a firwall rule to grant access for the updater.exe - how did it update in the past?

Does anybody have an idea what is happening?

I am migrating to a new phone. WhatsApp offered firefox as an option for storing its passkey. That took me to the connection and synchronisation process which the new phone said had failed. However all my tabs and other passwords appear to be syncing. Now selecting firefox to store the WhatsApp passkey takes me back to the failure page every time. Any idea how to restart the passkey addition to firefox process? WhatsApp won't work whilst I'm hung up in limbo between the two apps.

Hello Why getting a black mask and purple screen. I did not set private and security is in lower case and cant access. I want the normal screen with history that I can delete myself. Not sure if this is new or update caused this to change.thxs joseph

Hi, I'm having issues with my Google search results page. It used to be very clean looking and mainly only showing the results of whatever I searched. Today though, I searched something and now the Google results are first showing Reddit answers, what others have asked, discussions and forums, what others have searched, short videos, etc. I have to scroll really far down just to get some normal search results. How can I fix this? Call me old school but I want the classic version back. Please help, I don't want to switch browsers. I've been using Firefox nearly since it's launch, since StumbleUpon days. Starting yesterday firefox, no recent updates etc, gives a 403 error for several large corporate sites and 404 page not found for most paypal payment pages. These sites/pages work fine with Chrome. There were no changes by by myself to my firefox installation, not any antivirus changes.

Within the last hour today everything is working properly. What is going on? jn

Using Samsung S22 Ultra. Had probably 100+ tabs open, and as I was browsing a site, suddenly Firefox crashed, and on re-opening the app, all the tabs are gone, some dating back to months ago.

Unfortunately I wasn't aware of the tab saving add-ons until after the fact, but still, the fact that there's no "restore previous session" on mobile is extremely irritating, and history only goes so far. Why is this a thing? I can't believe this

When I went to start firefox today on my MS Windows computer, I got a file error message saying pathway was corrupted (or something like that) and then the firefox app disappeared from my pinned toolbar. When I went and reinstalled it, all of my saved bookmarks and passwords were gone. How do I get them back?
