I am encountering an issue where Firefox throws an "Uncaught out of memory" error in the console, despite my system having ample RAM available. Here are the details of the problem:

• Error Message in Console: Uncaught out of memory
• Memory Usage Observed: Using about:processes, I noticed that Firefox's maximum memory usage caps at around 7GB.
• System Specifications: The machine running Firefox has 128GB of RAM, so there should be plenty of memory available.
• Firefox Version: 126.0a1

Given the significant amount of RAM available on my machine, it seems unusual that Firefox would hit a memory limit at just 7GB. I suspect there might be a bug or a misconfiguration causing this issue.

Can you please assist in diagnosing and resolving this problem? Are there any settings or configurations I should adjust, or is this a known issue with the current version of Firefox?

MacOS Sonoma 14.4 seems to have broken a number of apps. AFter updating to Sonoma 14.4 I experienced a great number of crashes with Thunderbird, so I completely uninstalled Thunderbird and removed all traces of plists, Application preferences, everything, reinstalled Thunderbird, and added back the two email accounts I use with it.

It now takes up to 30 seconds to start up Thunderbird, after which it happily no longer crashes, but obviously the startup time is unacceptable. I experience the same problem with Typora, and the developers there informed me that they believe the problem is with a Sonoma change that broke WebKit. I don't know if Thunderbird still uses Gecko or if the new version is WebKit. Please let me know if other Sonoma users have reported this problem or if it's just my system.

Hello. Our organization is experiencing an issue where sound settings are not carrying over correctly to Firefox. Specifically, this is with speaker settings. In multiple calling platforms (tested in Genesys Cloud and Teams), we are not able to adjust the settings for the speaker that audio plays from. We can adjust the default microphone setting, but not the speaker setting. This is only occurring in Firefox (works fine in Edge and Chrome).

Additionally, we've tried adjusting the default audio settings by going to Windows > Sound settings > App volume and device preferences, and changing the settings specifically for Firefox on this page. This does not work. When we check Teams or Genesys Cloud, it seems like Firefox is just picking any default without a rhyme or reason.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

For a few weeks now, FIrefox will not play DRM content video on this computer. I have tried all the suggested solutions and none have worked. Also, I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but the problem remains. I am very frustrated with this problem and am ready to get rid of Firefox permanently on ALL our computers unless this can be fixed.

Comments on YouTube videos are no longer visible after Firefox version 115.10esr update. They do however work on my other computer which also has Firefox but not an esr version since it has a more current version of windows. I tried deleting all cookies and cache, starting in safe mode, disabling ad-blocking on YouTube but nothing worked. I'm thinking of rolling back to the previous update but would rather have this problem fixed.

I had to add Javascript because one of my accounts need Javascript to open. After installing Javascript and allowing for all to be 'true', I still get this message when I try to open a 'show blocked content' in my email.

"The address wasn’t understood

Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (javascript) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

   You might need to install other software to open this address."

I never had any problem before installing Javascript. Thanks for any solutions.

I can't send emails out of Thunderbird but can receive them, not sure what to do? Is there a phone number I can call with Thunderbird for help? I'm not that savvy with all this.

I have been watching YouTube videos on firefox android and have been clicking ful screen and landscape has been fine. Then over night a few days ago, it stopped. When I turn the phone to landscape, the video sound is playing but the video is blank, with no picture. It is fine in normal portrait just not when I click full screen when it was working.

I've cleared the cache and history, I've even unistalled Firefox and reinstalled it twice, once from the play store and once as the apk but to no avail. I have also disabled adons, tried the picture to picture, and autoplay but nothing works.

Any help to rectify and return my viewing would be appreciated.

Hi, As of yesterday I am unable to send emails out. I keep getting this message below. I have gmail on same computer and that works fine. I am able to receive emails but can't send. Please help

Suddenly when I try to go on Youtube, I get messages that I'm blocking ads. I'm on a Mac-mini using X El Capitan V10.11.6, which is the highest I can upgrade to. I'm using Firefox Browser 78.15 (64-bit) and info shows it's up to date. My old Safari browser still will work with Youtube, but Foxfire is my go-to browser.

Whenever I open the find bar while deleting the phrases and words, it shows the one word highlighted or its phrase highlighted on the find bar whenever I reopen after deleting the phrases and words. I need help for this ?

What can I do?

Firefox seems to crash repeatedly and generates no crash reports, just freezes up my pc. It works in troubleshooting mode but even after refreshing, the problem persists. Surprisingly, it will consistently crash if I go to `about:support` (except in troubleshooting mode). Any help would be appreciated!

Keeping got massage: The folder 'Inbox on parkerlin@hochien.com' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again.

Have clean up all In box mail and compacted it, but still has same problem .

I have been using Thunderbird for years to access several @charter.net email addresses, lately administrated at Spectrum, which took over Charter. Everything was working normally until today. I can still receive emails, but when I send, I get an error message asking for a password: "password required for outgoing SMPT server" Manually entering a password in that error message box doesn't help. Spectrum support is not helpful beyond confirming that my email sends and receives normally as long as I access it on their website. Three clues: 1) Spectrum recently announced "new and improved" email. 2) One customer service person described my email addresses as "legacy". 3) My gmail address sends and receives just fine from Thunderbird as usual. Once a while Firefox would freeze up and when that happens it would without fail reboots the phone if the phone goes to sleep and if I don't force close the app quickly. It might've done so anyway without putting it to sleep but I haven't tested leaving the screen on long enough. I noticed that if I was quick enough and force stop the app the phone doesn't reboot, but that window is really short. Maybe 2 seconds or so. Suffice to say force stopping didn't always work since the window is so short. When Firefox freezes other apps and phone functions work normally. It's been ongoing for a while through multiple updates. I see some people have already reported this same issue here. Can Mozilla fix this please? I have uBlock origin addon installed thanks. Also this never happened with my Pixel 3 phone which I was using up until a few months back so maybe it's pixel 6a specific. Alot of people have this same issue with pxiel6a from googling. It can freeze on any site I visit but one example is reddit.

Firefox will not allow my to post comments on Yahoo. I have no issues with Chrome or Safari. I get the following error message: Your comment failed to publish. Retry

With just 2 email addresses that I have been using for years, I suddenly get this Undeliverable message when attempting to send emails using Thunderbird:

"The mail client submitted this message with bare line feeds, which cannot be sent via SMTP protocol DATA command and receiving system does not support BDAT"

I can receive emails from the 2 addresses fine, I just can't send to them through Thunderbird. When I sign in to Hotmail Outlook Live I can send and receive to these addresses with no problem.

I'm stumped! Any ideas? Can I reset Thunderbird?
