Firefox for Android does not follow system theme changes i.e. dark to light.

Discovered on Samsung Galaxy A22, Android 14 and Firefox 124.2.0

Steps to reproduce:

1. Configure Android to automatically switch themes. For Samsung Galaxy this is Settings - Dark Mode Settings - Turn on as scheduled
2. Wait until Android toggles theme from dark to light.
3. Notice Firefox has a black border.
4. Go into Application info for Firefox and force stop, then reopen
5. Now notice it doesn't.

I've had this problem for a while and I don't know what to do.

I had a problem where Firefox kept crashing before it had finished loading up all of my former tabs and windows and so I was given the option of opening Firefox in "Safe mode" which I did, but now Firefox only starts in "Safe mode"...

I'm running the most up to date version of Firefox.

Why were my bookmarks wiped out by April 2024 forced Firefox update to my Android Samsung S21 Ultra? 😡 Since I don't synch, can't find a way to restore my many bookmarks.

On YouTube the video will start playing but the rectangle it should be in will still be black, refreshing usually works. Sometimes a video will simply stop playing. Sometimes i have to close all apps and restart the browser twice to get it to work. Sometimes trying to go to full screen will crash the app. Sometimes popping the app out of full screen into a floating window crashes it. This one is new, it's the uploaded screenshot, it crashed mid video and made the video look funny.

I've disabled this for my google account. So when I search from google.com this behavior doesn't happen. But when I type anything into my address bar on Firefox to search, the first suggestions are from my search history.

I don't want to delete my search history.

I often use my search history to find specific things that I need, but didn't bookmark at the time. I need my search history to be saved. I just don't want to automatically receive suggestions based on it.

Is there any way to turn this off? Even with an extension or something?

Am I able to pin a podcast app player that is no longer available in the Google play store nor has an email or website? I would like to put it on my homepage as I use it all the time.

I have read the thread for this similar problems, tried all the suggestions but I'm Still experiencing videos not staying full-screen. Is there any other solution to it? This has started since yesterday but everything was fine before then.

My firefox version: 124.2.0 My phone: Xiaomi redmi note 13

The problem: This problem is most prominent when I want to listen to music on youtube while having another app open. I have "video background play fix" add-on. Interestingly, just going to the home screen keeps the song playing, but once I go to any other app (tested with discord, whatsapp and veryfitpro) the song stops playing. Then I go back to the app and it reloads the entire website and the song is at the beginning waiting for me to press play. I've tried different battery optimization strategies in the app's settings and none of them worked. Tried clearing the cache.

Private tabs disconnects the second I switch to another app or turn off screen. And when I switch back tabs basically opens again. So if I try to listen to a podcast from a private tab, it will stop, if there was any data typed, it will be lost. I disabled all power saving settings on the phone, it didn't help. And I didn't find anything in Firefox settings I'm using redmi note 10 with miui 14 global. Firefox from Google play. And UBlock and Privacy Badger are installed

There used to be 4 root folders in my bookmarks toolbar on PC: bookmarks toolbar, bookmarks menu, other bookmarks and mobile bookmarks. Recently I noticed the "mobile bookmarks" folder is gone. That is where bookmarks saved in the default folder on mobile were synced. What happened?

Hi, I can't change the default hover color of buttons in the navigation bar. It either remains totally unaffected or there appears a larger background image of my color overlaid with the smaller default hover image. Hover on the bookmarks toolbar works fine, except for the "Show more bookmarks" chevron, which behaves exactly like a navigation bar button. I tried these:

I'm developing a website and noticed while testing that firefox sends requests to "/sw.js" on my local webserver. When starting with a fresh profile folder, this does not happen (and also not with other browsers). So, I thought, this might be one of my extensions, but in Troubleshooting mode, the browser still sends these requests, everytime a site is refreshed. It does not affect performance or anything, I am just afraid that I was somehow hacked as I did not make many settings in firefox. Do you know, how I could further diagnose the problem?

I made my account and signed in, but now Im stuck on the firefox account and help page, if I exit so I can browse, it logs me out and asks me to sign in again. why can't I browse?
