does firefox sync work across all firefox profiles?

Do you want your data synced between all Profiles? If so, you only need one account, but you'll have to set it up in each Profile.
And, if you're not using 4.0b4 or higher, you'll need to install the Firefox Sync extension in each Profile. (4.0b4 and higher have Sync built-in.)
You will need separate accounts for Profiles that have different data from other Profiles. Like "work", personal, and pRon.
