The Firefox developers will be replacing the current Firefox for Android with a project called Firefox Fenix. It will have a dark mode based on what I've read.

I'm not entirely sure when Firefox Fenix will be released, as it's still in development. However, there aren't a whole lot of changes in store for the regular Firefox for Android in the meantime. As I understand it, development on the regular Firefox for Android stopped at 68.0 and it's now only getting bug fixes until Firefox Fenix is ready.
