UTF math fonts fail to display on Android

The title says it all: despite all my efforts (disabled NoScript, deleted all of my user data, re-installed Firefox, etc.) certain UTF math symbols fail to load on the latest version of Firefox I can find at the time of this writing (66.0.2) on Android 9.

The fonts in question display as nondescript gray boxes (jpg attached). That first greyed out symbol is supposed to be a "turnstile", as described at

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turnstile_(symbol)

(which also fails to render properly, with the same sort of issue). I've verified that the browser cannot render this or in fact most mathematical symbols in the UTF range U+2200 to U+22FF by navigating to

http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/block/mathematical_operators/utf8test.htm

on my phone, where most of those symbols appear as blue boxes. The specific turnstile symbol mentioned above is U+22A2. And renders fine (along with everything else on that 'fileformat' page) on other browsers on my phone (e.g. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.baumann.browser1&hl=en_US).

Thank you
