A friend has passed away and I cannot access her obituary page. I could for a couple of days but I can't any more. Is this a problem with the FF latest upgrade? The page is [link removed by moderator]

I do not want her obituary page made public on a forum in case it causes inappropriate comments.

I have just discovered the page works ok on Chrome so I will use that for now, but I am reporting the problem to try and help you. I am using latest version of Firefox.

I have added a screen snip of the part-loaded page.

I just followed the button below about extra troubleshooting information and lost all the information I had typed into this box, which irritates me as well.

I can't get to my gmail account if I go to firefox as a search and enter the single word GMAIL. Before anything else is entered, I end up at my wife's account. Why should that be and how to get to any other email account. I have the same problem with CROME except there it appears to be bound to MY account - the word GMAIL must trigger some fixed, prior established, link that was not intended. The fixed link in Firefox predates 115. I rarely use CROME. The Firefox linkage was very strange, but I mostly accessed MY account via Thunderbird until this also looked like a problem. Is there a way to break this fixed linkage? Thank you

Looking at your guesses, it is 115.8.1 according to my inspection, W7 is correct.

Win 7 64 bit. 109.0.1 (64-bit) I have two admin user accounts. On number two when I bookmark a page it automatically puts a folder on the toolbar.

in number one it puts in the bookmark pull down [where you click Bookmarks from the menu bar] and I can create a folder on the toolbar if I want. I want.

I do not want all boomarks to be on the toolbar but want the toolbar shown as i want to be able to add a folder

When I click on Next on the login page of Hulu, youtube or the Roku websites, nothing happens. No messages about wrong or unrecognized credentials. Just no action or movement at all.

I access a CCTV Network Video Recorder on the same private/LAN that I'm on using an PC via HTTPS. It's been working fine for nearly a year. Recently it won't access via HTTPS any more with the Error Message "Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.1.30. I've contacted the vendor but they seem at a bit of a loss. I can connect using HTTP, and an Android App (spit) still works too. I did find a Stack Overflow article from 2020 mentioning a possible corrupt cert9.db and/or cert_override.txt files, but as it's so old I wanted to ask for further advice before I start hacking things around. On another PC using the same browser version on the same network I get the attached response, not the same as the one I get and it will allow me to accept the risk. Can anyone help please?

I like to set my home page to my search engine, and I want to type on the page in the nice long search field there, not on the d---d address bar! The following preferences have all been offered as fixes to eliminate searching in the address bar, but none of them are currently working for me in FF 102.0.1:

Do about:config; search for the browser.urlbar.suggest.searches preference setting it to false.

Also browser.fixup.alternate.enabled needs to be set to false Also browser.urlbar.oneOffSearches = false

Also to disable searching when typing an address (e.g. the URI fails to resolve and it tries to use a search engine) turn keyword.enabled to false.

What does work?

I need to install a browser on a Windows 7 laptop that I'm trying to get operational so the files / data can be migrated to another platform. I would like to use Firefox if possible.

I'm thinking I would need a prior version. If so, what version should I choose and where do I get it from?

The current / legacy browser is Brave but that has been disabled by installing Bitdefender as part of the ongoing cleanup process. --Thanks

After downloading FF 106.0 A Firefox Icon appeared on the left side of my menu bar that won't go away and is taking up space that I need. It's guiding me thru a sign in page to syn my devices. I DON"T WANT TO SYNC my devices. I just want to get rid of that icon. When I try to sign in it tells me it will send me a 6 digit code and I have to enter it in 5 mins. I never received the code. I don't care if I ever get the code. Please tell me how to get rid of the icon w/o going thru the process of the "tutorial" Thank you!

After the latest update, "synced tabs" suddenly appeared in my history menu above Recently Closed Tabs. I don't use syncing of any sort so this is just a nuisance. How can I get rid of it?

I was trying to change some settings on Firefox and I accidentally closed it and lost all of my tabs. I have the setting enabled to open tabs from last browsing session, but I was messing with the extension OneTab and I lost my open tabs.

Just to be clear, it wasn't the fault of OneTab, this is was my fault for closing Firefox too quickly when it was restoring my tabs and I didn't allow it to finish.

Anyway, in attempting to recover my tabs, I have restored from backup my "sessionrestore-backups" folder; this didn't work. I have also restored my entire Mozilla folder in my profile; this also didn't work.

I also tried following this article (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-restore-browsing-session-backup), but the sessionstore.jsonlz4 file doesn't exist. I did a search for this file in my profile and it doesn't exist anywhere.

Does anyone have any ideas that may help?

How does one specify which program opens a .zip file after it is downloaded?

Presently, the download functions properly, but when I click on the file, VLC media player opens; have no idea why; how can I specify 7-zip File Manager instead?

I just ran "C Cleaner" to clean my computer. At the end, it said to ask the browser if there is a 64 bit Windows compatible version available? It takes 21 seconds to open my browser. That seems like a long time. The message went like this "\??\C:\ Program Files(x86)\MozillaFirefox\firefox.exe" How do I know what version of Firefox I am using?

Hi there; I like Firefox and I always recommend it to others, please keep it the way it was, simply good privacy and easy to use and work with. It used to was possible to clear cookies for a specific website but now it's gone! and I can't figure out how can I delete/clear cookies for a specific website! I think even if there is a way to do this, you've made it so complicated! it was easy, just click on setting icon next to website address in address bar and clear cookies! once I tried this and it took me to other pages and ended up to clearing all my cookies in entire Firefox! and this made difficulties for me to find all my username and passwords and enter them one by one...

Hi guys, lately with one of the updates to firefox I've had something new crop up and I desperately want to get rid of it. When I save something from the internet to my computer there is a dropdown box that shows up from the downloads icon, which is on my address bar. (I'm assuming this is firefox and not windows.) It just annoys me and sometimes gets in the way. Help please?

When I opened Firefox this morning I was asked if I wanted to install the new cookie blocker. Now I am unable to access my employers shift schedule web page. Was I scammed? Thanks for any help.
