This happens only on Firefox and Firefox Developer Edition on one of my PCs and not the other. Firefox is version 113.0.2 (64-bit) and DE is 114.0b9 (64-bit)

Anyone experienced this before?

I am trying to move my mobile bookmarks from Firefox to Brave. I've synced them with no trouble from Firefox Android to desktop. I can see a folder in the Firefox bookmark manager called "mobile bookmarks", and it contains all my mobile bookmarks. From there, I can open them in Firefox, Brave, Edge, and Chrome. No problem.

When I click "Import and Backup", then "Export Bookmarks to HTML", I'm able to save the HTML file to whatever location I like - desktop, Downloads folder, etc. However, when I go to open the file, it only contains the Mozilla default bookmarks. None of the "Mobile bookmarks" folder is visible. The HTML file is only 11 kb.

FWIW, I've also tried directly importing the bookmarks to Brave using their import feature (not using an HTML file), and Brave does not recognize any bookmark files whatsoever from Firefox. Getting really frustrated.

Last week, mid-day one day, videos on YouTube suddenly all had a warm cast --yellowish for color, cream/beige for B&W. I have researched the issue as I can. It is not my Windows night light; my drivers and PC are apparently all updated; everything is working fine. I checked to see if the same happened with Vimeo videos and it did. I'm running W10.

   Interestingly, the pop-up thumbnails one gets when hovering over the timeline as not affected; they look fine.
   One post by someone else was answered that it was a GPU driver issue; another said it's only with HD videos.
   I'm a B&W photographer and would really like to get back to normal again. 
   Any ideas?

FF 113.0.2 Win 7 64 Bit

When I read a pdf online it gets downloaded even though FF is set to always ask. When it asks I choose open with FF or open with Adobe Reader . Both downloads the file to my download folder. It doesn't ask what foder to download to even though I have FF set to ask where to download to in settings/general

I tried setting browser.download.improvements_to_download_panel to false as here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1370494 but it didn't help

I'm not sure if Firefox is aware that their news suggestions are mostly Leftist-Globalist Anti-American Fake News & Misinformation. They seem to be promoting the corrupt establishment, truly frightening.

I like the pocket suggestions underneath the the search bar but cannot easily read what I type in the address bar & do not want to be forced to. FF flatly calls this better which is flat out, arrogant none sense as the font size is too small for so many & only causes eye & overall psychological strain. Must I permanently switch to google absent all pocket suggestions to achieve search & navigation in the search bar, in the middle of the page? Seriously. There does not appear to be an option to do so as before. Not allowing the option is at least arrogant & short sighted. Is there any chance FF will show more respect for its users in this respect & allow it?

Just downloaded the subject and made it my default browser. However 'googles' browser 'defaults' to the field. How do I get rid of an intrusive unwanted browser. ...Thanks...Thomas

Firefox has the option to WHAT to show when you enter a LETTER in the ADRESS BAR.

You can CHOOSE what do you want to see when you type in a LETTER. I choose not to show anything from my timeline or ANYTHING ELSE except GOOGLE and DUCKDUCK And even with the settings set Firefox does not care.

Why arent the settings working?!

Many websites are showing the placeholder or the back end text for elements instead of the expected titles. I have two extensions viz. dark reader and ublock but I have them both turned off and checked still it shows the same annoying thing.

FBI's suggestion was to start with an IC3 Complaint. I forgot to tell you. They tried to erased the almost 100GB of evidence I have including the 18GB of devastating evidence against them. Well they infected 3 hardware devices I own hoping that I would insert the flash drives with the evidence in the computer and then they can wipe them clean. I lost 75GB but recovered 52GB from a back up scheme I had. Most important: Now I have them in the act of setting up their trap in my computer, plus I have 3 hardware devices infected with their code. One is a USB type A to USB type C adapter by Belkin. they know the whole thing. I spoke to their security all the way to their corporate offices. As you know they're also a defense contractor. The 2nd device is a 3.3 USB reader by SanDisk (Western Digital). I started telling them until they blocked me. So they only know their device was modify to do evil. But I didn't have time to tell them that 2 additional devices suffered the same thing. So, SanDisk thinks they are the only company. The 3rd device is from Kingston it's 3.0 USB card reader but but the time I finished with SanDisk I couldn't communicate with Kingston. Unless the security force from Belkin told them, they are unaware that their device was used for nefarious purposes by MS and GGL (But attempt to abbreviate.) Bottom line I have the dramatic footage of 18GB and 3 hardware devices. of their code. I hope these info gets to you. I have to take a tiny break. I am currently using Firefox 90.0.2 (64-bit) on windows 10. The YouTube videos do not play since last couple versions of Firefox, But I can play them using Edge and Chrome. The loading icon spinning for ever and nothing happens.

firefox crashes after closing every time

Under import/backup --> restore I can't remove the files. It used to let you do it now its not allowed. I want them gone and to synch with I currently have. It would also be nice to add a feature to edit backup folders and stored files.

Thanks Cor-el for replying with advice on how to use about:config to ensure the screencapture was toggled correctly. It wasn't and I corrected that. Now I have the icon in the toolbar and on the right click menu but when I attempt to use them all I get is a popup menu with a large black X in it and nothing can be done with it. Also, on the toolbar items that are added to it all appear in the overflow and there is no way of getting them to appear on the screen by reducing the size of the search bar. I've been using firefox ever since it first appeared and I've never had problems like this before.

I still have no bookmarks. I have restarted the computer a number of times. I also renamed the places.sqlite adding a 1 after places as it said in other directions. I have also refreshed.

Yesterday, I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled after receipt of your response. It said all cookies, history, bookmarks etc transferred successfully. However, I keep getting the message “ and Bookmarks and history systems will not be functional because one of Firefox’s file is in use by another application. Some security software can cause the problem. I use McAfee, I’ve always used it. I have not changed it.

I did not do anything with favicon file as I don’t know what to do, I understand you can delete that. If there is a list of more than one, then what do I do.

As I indicated, I an NOT a technical person.

Please advise.
