This is actually the second time I've had issues with Firefox with hardware acceleration enabled it's normally enabled by default when you install it I believe I've never checked it before but when I was playing the game listening to music it blue screened on me and I got a error code involving bit one memory and I did do a check with the Microsoft Windows diagnosis tool that's for checking memory problems and nothing actually came up I even did a command prompt sfc scannow now command to check and see if there's any problems and nothing came up either and I checked the dump file and apparently the dump file told me that it was Firefox that caused the blue screen of death to occur I think you guys may have maybe a corrupt file when it comes to your guys's hardware acceleration function being enabled it could have some issues with AMD I have a complete AMD system with a 5500 XT as well as a ryzen 3600 and 16 gigs of RAM and dual channel I'm not exactly sure what actually caused it but I just wanted to address it and give you guys some information if you if any users have encountered this issue too.

i have asked this question before, your advice was to contact waterfox, but you didn't say how to contact them, as i still have classic on my computer, which sends me to you when i click on help, i can down load the newer versions, but won't install, sent a message on reddit, all i got was your chip isn't new enough, from what i understand is a better version than they is the version they said i needed, yes mine is older, but is a better version, there must be a way to get insalled on my computer, i had installed the newest version on my laptop, which is older than my desktop, it work a few times, then it also wouldn't open, thank you for any help

response to jonzn4SUSE, because on my desk top, it won't install, because my computer chip is too old, when I get to the point of clicking on finish, when clicking on finish, it disappears, supposedly this chip is a better chip than the one I need to install it, but it's older than the one which is the minimum needed to do the install, even took it to the repair shop, I had read that sometimes if an older version of waterfox is on a computer it won't install, by the time I got it back from the shop everything with waterfox was gone, including bookmarks etc., none it was saved, some of the things I could import from my other browsers, one thing I don't like about waterfox is there isn't any way to export those things to other browsers, even when going to firefox or any other browsers, when clicking on import from other browsers, waterfox isn't on the list, also on my laptop, has an intel chip, maybe older than the one on desk top, when 1st installed it, it worked, the next time I tried to use it it wouldn't open, don't use lap top very often, usually only when desk top is in the shop on desk top, even tried to install it in safe mode, after I got it back from the repair shop, is when I found out about the chip being too old Operating System       Windows 10 Pro 64-bit CPU       AMD Phenom II X4 955          Deneb 45nm Technology RAM       16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 803MHz (11-11-11-28) Motherboard       Gigabyte Technology Co. Hi, Firstly I apologize because I'm not very tech savvy. My firefox browser has been taking ages to load. I've tried various 'fixes' over the last week or so and they don't work for long. I'm going down the 'try this' list and am at the 'clear junk in manage data' suggestion. Someone else had success with getting rid of a load of youtube saved junk. I'm in the Cookie and Site Data area, it says it's using 793mb of disc space yet when I tap on 'manage data' to try and clear stuff that area shows up as empty. I've searched but can't locate how to fix this issue. Or I might be missing something completely obvious. :/

My memory, and health, is not great so if possible I really don't want to resort to clearing everything and having to re-add log ins etc.

Does anyone know how to fix this please?

When i click on a tab, if I am not perfectly steady at the time of the click, Firefox opens the tab in a new windows. It happens several times a day, it's quite annoying. Searching for solutions in the support page, I've found that there was an add-on to disable this function, but now it's not available anymore. Is there a solution in 2024?

I am experiencing several crashes a day on firefox and I am providing an example of EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ on just one of them. Any one know what this means?

Facing a strange problem in firefox. I have saved user name, password for my site in firefox, when i have login again firefox is asking to fill from the saved one. If i choose that, user name alone filling leaving the password field empty (please refer the attached image) and also password field is in disabled state and not allowed to edit the password field.

And this is not happening regularly. Any idea how to solve this or is there any config for such behavior.

How to reach a site used in the past (whether typed URL or used saved Bookmark!) ---but now Firefox won't let me access now, please?! I have some sites for decorating my online gaming site. Your settings warn me that the site isn't ---https://. --- which I realize, and FIREFOX stops me from going to the site. How do I temporarily use a site, then restore the security? I appreciate how FIREFOX keeps us safe! TY!

I use Firefox as my browser but since yesterday I am unable to use it. Each time I click on the firefox icon I am directed to a French Microsoft browser - are you able to help?

Firefox often display messages at the lower right corners - only from selected sites.

It drives my crazy - because I have to click on each and ervy one.

How can I select the sites which are displayed or can I shut them off all together ?!?

Goodd day from UK I run firefox esr 115.9.1 and find the the F5 refresh key does NOT refresh the images. The same applies when using the "reload" icon in the menu.

Reading other posts, nothing seems to apply here.

There are NO add-ons at all and everything is cleared on close. The text DOES seem to change.

As a web developer checking updates this is extremely annoying as only hope is keep closing the browser (to clear everything) and restart - the loads new images etc.

I use several versions of Firefox (2, 20, 56) to ensure compatability with olf browsers and it seems to be only those over 100 with this issue.

Does anyone know if this is a "feature" or a"bug" and is there any simple (!) way around the issue?

About 1 week ago Firefox with Windows 11 stopped displaying YouTube video comments. I've tried other browsers and I can see the comments.

I only have 6 extensions and have disabled all of them and still have the problem. With Firefox in safe mode the problem goes away and I can see the comments. I've cleared the Firefox cache and hardware acceleration is off. I have the standard themes and using the default system theme-auto.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem? Thank you.

I have followed the troubleshooting suggestions with no avail. I am currently in troubleshooting mode with all add-ons disabled. The problem persists. The only way to handle the problem is to depress the scroll wheel on the mouse and start scrolling. However, the problem returns with the next page. The problem shows up on Windows 10 as well as Debian bullseye.

I have used Firefox and Firefox-esr for years on the same platforms. This problem started about six months ago with no resolution. So what has changed? On Win 10 Firefox keeps getting updates whereas Firefox-esr never gets updates. The problem persists on both platforms. More than one mouse has been used with the same results. I have removed Firefox and Firefox-esr and re loaded them, no joy here either.

I started using firefox actively a year back or something like that, last couple of months it started driving me nuts as it started updating every time I launch it, which is very annoying even if it takes only 10 15 seconds, I sometimes need to check something really quick and I have to wait for it to finish installing an update, even though I checked the setting for it to do so in the background, it seems to only do it after I launch it disrupting my workflow, which made me switch back to Chrome temporarily, is there a way to fix this?
