I just had a glitch with the latest update to 102b, FF insisted I had an old version and would only let me make a new profile. So I had to set up multi-account containers again. I have specific sites opening up in each container, and I'd like to make a copy to make sure that if my profile gets goofed up somehow, I can always easily restore my setup with multiaccount containers just the way I like it.

What do I need to copy, so that with a new profile, all I need to do is copy over some files?

In my profile folder, I see an Extensions folder, as well as an extensions.json and extensions-settings.json.

Are those the only folders/files I'd need to restore multi-account containers on a new profile?

I have thought of using FF Sync, but I keep reading that it is not intended for copying, so much as sharing across different devices, which is not something I'm interested in. Should I just let sync copy my extensions, and then sign back in, in the event I want to restore addons to a new profile?

I have seen this in some past versions of FF It usually goes away after a few upgrades

please take off the red add, the pop up total add sign that keeps popping up asking to paid for the add block I am 82 and on a fixed budget. I do not want this service. How do I get it off my computer. When I want to print an article from an e mail.I always have to remove it to save an e mail, or when I want to print an article, I read it later, and I see the total ad block on my printed article stuck on the printed page blocking out what I printed. Just recently My patient portal at Baylor Scott and White was changed. When I log into the portal everything is fine until I try to see messages from Doctor. It at this time the crash begins, sometimes the screen goes black then White and black again repeating a few times, the the computer locks up and I have no mouse or keyboard and no error option or anything.. I have to power down computer to fix where everything is ok... The tech at Baylor Scott and White said its at my end because no one else has complained and suggested I use Chrome, which I did and it works, I can retrieve messages without crashes??

A customer shared his Firefox login with me to share his passwords. I logged in with his account, downloaded his passwords and logged out directly afterwards, but now he is reporting that he has ALL my passwords. How can undo this? I never gave him access to my account and I never clicked on sync or something?

Hello! Short story: I recently discovered that adding a new GIF image to a page resets the animations of existing GIF images on the page with the same src.

Expected behavior: Adding a new GIF image to the page should not reset the animation of existing images with same src.

Actual result: Adding a new GIF image to the page resets the animation of all existing GIF images on the page with same src.

While watching videos(movies/anime) video takes much time to buffer. If video is of 20 minutes then it loads first few minutes then after watch time reaches that buffered video then it takes more time buffer.

What I am looking is for, how can I force firefox to buffer full video at once or is there any way to increase buffer size.

When I try to log in to any Google "Ecosystem" (i.e Gmail, Youtube etc.) I see it (check screenshot below). I'll use Firefox Developer Edition. In vanilla Firefox and other browsers, everything works as usual.

Hi, I have been a Firefox user for 30 years, so I want to comment on your product. Every year I notice the performance of the browser getting worse and worse, more and more errors unexpected closures and slowdowns, it's bad to work because such small crashes make you look for another alternative. I do not write this maliciously, but that you think about how to improve the performance and speed of firefox. I only hope that someone wise will read this and pass it on to the higher-ups to make real changes.

In any case, you are going in the right direction and I still consider firefox with the most friendly and easy to use browser.

I like to have my browsing history cleared after I quit Firefox, but I found out that this will break the action to open previous windows and tabs.

How to have these two options live together?

MacOS FF dev edition 102 When I roll my mouse over a link, in pops up the URL in the bottom left (i.e. status bar as safari calls it) but there's no indication of if the link will show in the current tab or a new tab. in safari, the end of the URL states "in new tab" if that's the case.

I've got about 10 bookmarks with links to support pages each about adjusting specific about:config setting to my needs. My job also requires me to change systems lots of times, from Mac to windows to Linux. Is there an easy way I can save my personal about:config changes to a file for easy import on other systems?

When I type my website in the bar, firefox puts www in front of it, which causes the warning page: firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to www.karinchappell.com. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

If I remove the www by backspacing it, the page loads correctly.

I've checked the website: "SSL is enabled on your site, and an SSL certificate was detected on your site."

When I've asked around the techies I know, I've been told this is an antiquated way of dealing with it. Please advise.

I have set up 11 custom devices that max the min and max sizes of bootstrap grid system (xs-min-360w, xs-max-575, etc) to aid me with checking my website on various screen sizes. Is there anyway to export this list or better still to synch them with my Firefox account so I don't lose these settings?

I am using Firefox Developer Edition (101.0b6 (64-bit)) on Ubuntu 20.04.

Used to be very practical with add-ons in the toolbar (cf 1st screen), but with the update they are not here anymore (cf 2nd screen). I don't want to click on the extension button for those addons I'm always using, I want to revert to having the buttons in my toolbar !!!!!!!!

PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT TO GO TO CUSTOMIZE TOOLBAR WITHOUT TESTING IT YOUSELF AND INCLUDING A SCREENSHOT !! This does not work, there are no buttons to drag and drop for the addons.
