Hi,

Occasionally when downloading files on Firefox, they'll freeze completely (often at the very end.) There is no way to pause or cancel the downloads, except to restart Firefox.

When I attempt to restart Firefox, it closes the browser window. However, when I try to reopen it, I get an error message stating that Firefox is running but not responding. The 'Close Firefox' option does nothing, except make the box pop back up a moment later.

I can't kill the Firefox process in Task Manager or Process Explorer, because it says access is denied. I can't kill it using taskkill in command prompt because it says there is no running instance of the task.

The ONLY thing that seems to help is completely restarting the computer, which is getting frustrating to do several times a day.

I can confirm Firefox is up-to-date. Any tips are appreciated, thank you!

I use Mozilla as my browser on Windows 7. When I click on Mozilla I get an Error page which reads, " Server Error in "/" Application. Runtime Error. Not sure how to fix this. Can you help. Thank-you

I tried to pay my Wells Fargo VISA bill online as I do every month. This morning it listed all my accounts correctly on the 'Accounts' screen, but when I clicked the options to transfer money, depending on the screen I was on, it gave a message "you do not have two accounts to transfer money from and to" (not the exact wording.)

I tried to use a different path to do the same thing, and on that screen it displayed the 'FROM' accounts correctly but the "TO" account area was blank.

I had to close Firefox, load Edge, and was able to transfer the money from the checking account and pay the VISA bill.

This has never happened before and I have done this transfer and pay operation every month for years. Something has changed in the browser and needs to be fixed.

What happened to it? When it was deleted? Why? Is there a way to restore it?

response to jonzn4SUSE, because on my desk top, it won't install, because my computer chip is too old, when I get to the point of clicking on finish, when clicking on finish, it disappears, supposedly this chip is a better chip than the one I need to install it, but it's older than the one which is the minimum needed to do the install, even took it to the repair shop, I had read that sometimes if an older version of waterfox is on a computer it won't install, by the time I got it back from the shop everything with waterfox was gone, including bookmarks etc., none it was saved, some of the things I could import from my other browsers, one thing I don't like about waterfox is there isn't any way to export those things to other browsers, even when going to firefox or any other browsers, when clicking on import from other browsers, waterfox isn't on the list, also on my laptop, has an intel chip, maybe older than the one on desk top, when 1st installed it, it worked, the next time I tried to use it it wouldn't open, don't use lap top very often, usually only when desk top is in the shop on desk top, even tried to install it in safe mode, after I got it back from the repair shop, is when I found out about the chip being too old Operating System       Windows 10 Pro 64-bit CPU       AMD Phenom II X4 955          Deneb 45nm Technology RAM       16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 803MHz (11-11-11-28) Motherboard       Gigabyte Technology Co. Anyone have good values that block auto playing videos?

every time whe I download a rar file it is opened with winrar even the setting for the rar file extension is set to save and not open the file. Also some about:config settings I learned from some forums on the web do not help. I think this missbehaviour took place in the past after updating FF but I cannot remember which update it was. How can I configure FF to not open downloaded rar files with winrar (I want FF only to save the file)?

All of a sudden the Firefox password I've been using for a long time stopped working. I went through the reset process, set a new password, and it still doesn't work! What I am doing wrong? Keeps asking me to re-enter the password, and when I do, it says it's not correct. Is this a widespread known issue?

I get this message from Gmail when I try to print or open in a new tab.

"Grrr! A popup blocker may be preventing the application from opening the page. If you have a popup blocker, try disabling it to open the window."

I can not find a way to fix this and did not have this problem with the previous version.

I'm using Firefox with Google as my default search engine. When ever I try to type in the Google search box, what I am typing appears in the address bar. I want to search in the Google search box as it is at eye level for what I am doing. I have tried all sorts of ideas from the web to fix this but no joy. Does anyone know how I disable this? Thank you

Firefox browser crashes whenever uploading or downloading is tried. It seems website independent, and even a trial to start download from an email crashes the browser. Report IDs for some of the submitted crash reports:

UbuntuStudio 22.04 uses the Firefox Snap package by default. The latest automatic update does not display pages correctly in normal mode, but does work correctly on Safe Mode. Snap.io lists only the latest version of Firefox so I was unable to ask snap to revert to the previous release (prior to 5 Mar 24) and by the time I had tried to investigate the previous version was no longer cached. I did not see a way to force a fresh download of firefox from the latest channel on snap.io.

I tried the snap beta channel for v124, but that exhibited the same problems.

I tried adding a symbolic link to colors.css after seeing firefox complaining that it could not be found when started from the command line. That removed the error/warning message but did not clear the problem with normal mode.

I use the en-GB locale extension only. The technical details about my PC are as follows:

I have now downloaded v123 and installed it in my local home directory, and that version is working well. I have removed the firefox channel via snap. It is likely to be a fault in the construction of the snap for v123 that was not present for v122 prior to 5 Mar 24.

Goodd day from UK I run firefox esr 115.9.1 and find the the F5 refresh key does NOT refresh the images. The same applies when using the "reload" icon in the menu.

Reading other posts, nothing seems to apply here.

There are NO add-ons at all and everything is cleared on close. The text DOES seem to change.

As a web developer checking updates this is extremely annoying as only hope is keep closing the browser (to clear everything) and restart - the loads new images etc.

I use several versions of Firefox (2, 20, 56) to ensure compatability with olf browsers and it seems to be only those over 100 with this issue.

Does anyone know if this is a "feature" or a"bug" and is there any simple (!) way around the issue?
