One of my machines has Windows 7 installed and uses Chrome browser. Recently I had a need to install Firefox. As soon as the install completed, all of my existing Google related shortcut icons changed to some generic type. No matter what I did I could not change the shortcut icons back to their original. I uninstalled Firefox and they all came back. Any suggestions?

I accidentally used wrong disk when downloading a big file. So my primary disk, where I'm running OS became 100% full. Then I removed this big file, checked that disk is not full anymore, and tried to download again, this time choosing the right disk, but now the Firefox internal file browser, where we open files, and select folder to download is broken, pointing wrong location when selecting disk/folders. I tried restarting OS, reinstalling firefox, but it's internal file browser is still broken. In Chrome it's ok, in system file explorer is ok, problem occur only with Firefox. I'm using Pop!_OS 22.04.

Is there a way I can reset this internal file browser to work properly again?

Since support is being discontinued for W7 Firefox, would someone please recommend the best version of Firefox for Windows 7? Security is not a concern, since I have reliable 3rd-Party security setup(s) for my Windows 7 systems.

Is there a way for me to retrieve my bookmarks? They have followed me through several macbooks, and reinstallations and this is the first time they've gone missing.

Recently I have found that I cannot download statements from my bank account, also at the same time (2/3 months ago) I cannot access a Tesco website from Firefox. I can carry out these functions easily from Microsoft Edge, so why the sudden change ? Can anyone please help me to fix this in Firefox?

I have been getting the "new version available, download now nag for over 2 weeks, and I have the latest version. Still get this issue repeatedly every day. Starting to become an every hour nag to update and install latest version of Firefox. Refuse to use Microsoft Edge or Chrome, and will switch off Firefox too if not rectified.

There was a hardware problem with my iMac; the Apple Store fixed it and in the process wiped the disk and reinstalled Ventura. I then restored from Time Machine. Most things work, but Firefox is one that doesn't. It will not open. If I click the Firefox icon in the Dock, it looks like it's going to open --- the icon moves to the right and bounces back --- (something similar happens if I click on the app in the Applications list), and then Firefox fails to open. No error message or anything. Firefox is still opens on my iPad and iPhone. Would it be of any use to reinstall Firefox? Would the new installation automatically find my Bookmarks and sync with the iPad and iPhone?

My update preference for Firefox is to download but I will install it. But it consistenly (over the last numerous updates) changes it to Automatic. I do not want Automatic updates. I want to control when it updates. I do not see this issue addressed anywhere. I have checked numerous times. Please help! My sincere thank you for your time and attention to my request for help. You should try harder to release bugfree software ...

I have been using Firefox for quite some time. Suddenly it stopped working on my computer, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I keep getting a message that there is a problem with the download and installation. Can anyone help? Hey folks, I use the firefox developer edition and I downloaded a zip file in it's private and when the download was complete I closed the window and open the download folder but the file was not there I haven't change the downloads folder location
