Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? I am running Firefox. When I open the Task Manager, it shows that there are 13 Apps listed for Firefox with 1 for Runtime Broker. I have only 2 tabs open. Task manager shows that all together the Firefox apps are using only 0.4% of CPU, but are using 521.3MB of memory. When moving around the different apps I am using, the non Firefox apps are running more slowly due to the amount of memory used by all these Firefox accounts. I want to know what are these apps and why are they there when I have only the 2 tabs open?

While using firefox with mac trackpad or magic mouse it's really easy to accidentally middle click to a tab and close it. It's really frustrating to loose a tab. I guess it wouldn't be so hard to put an option to disable that function. That would make life so much easier. And there are LOTS of requests for the same thing in this site many of them more than years old.

updated to Version 124.0.1 (64-bit), now adblocker ultimate blocking website ( are you human? not a robot requests). There's no button to confirm.

I can get to log in screen ( Sams' club) but it goes right back to the are you human screen?, 

I can access the website if turn off Adblocker Ultimate. Adblocker appears up to date. When I disable Adblocker there is still a request, but this time a button below to press and hold which takes me to login screen. I can successfully login then. Reporting the issue which began within 5 min of the last Firefox update. I updated 3/23/2024

Hello everyone,

I was forced to reformat my computer today and I seem to have lost all of my passwords that were saved in Firefox.

I did not back up any of the files that were on my PC as I was unable to do so. I think I have been able to log back in my account and find my passwords.

When I logged back into my Firefox after re-installing it, my passwords are all gone. I need help!

Images in some hotmail emails do not show. A blank space or a large space with a tiny icon (I don't know what it is) in the upper left hand corner is where an image should be. A right click in that space will allow the image to be opened in another tab.

I am using a laptop with Windows 7. I know support for that is ending soon.

Using another browser solves the problem, but I don't want to do that.

There are almost 30+ opened tabs in my firefox at any given time. So I scroll over them using muse wheel. But for each notch of mouse wheel scroll, almost 6~7 tabs move left/right.

I would like change this number to 1 tab per notch of mouse wheel scroll.

Is this possible through editing any flags?

New Windows 11 computer will not stream on Utube. I have 2 others with W10 and they stream fine. Tried to use Edge (ugh) and it works flawlessly. Personally I think this is done by microshit.

Last update disabled picture in picture mode -- on top of full scree applications.

Please advise how to correct / adjust. This feature is vital to my work.

Despite many attempts at fixing including reinstalling FF, highlighting various drop downs in the history menu like the "everything section", every two hours etc. Nothing seems to work and I end up deleting the history one by one. Thank you

If I enter "na", the namu.wiki site, which I have never visited, appears as a recommendation. Even though I reset my visit history and settings, that site still appears as a recommendation. Is there a solution?

I am facing an issue with my Firefox.

This most commonly occurs with video playback webapps like YouTube Shorts. Intermittently, but often enough to be incredibly annoying!!) videos will stick while audio plays in the background. This does not always happen, but once it starts there seems to be some sort of cooling off period before things work again.

Reddit video player never works, seeming to silently crash - never showing the play button or video controls overlay.

I have had miscellenious other issue with other website that include forms to fill out and navigate where the elements like "next" or "submit" are completely unresponsive.

• Refreshing the page does not fix it.
• Clearing Firefox's cache and data did not fix it.
• "Refreshing" Firefox did not fix it.

Strangely, the same video/page will always work on a Private browser window. I appreciate that these windows don't have extensions active, but I have activated every extension in private browsing and it still works.

The only extensions I have are:

• Privacy Badger
• uBlock Origin
• Bitwarden

I have no idea what it is about my "normal" browser which is broken, and why things are fine in the private window, but this is immensely frustrating.

I really don't want to have to change to another browser (Chrome... ew...) but I need this fixed if I am to continue.

I am using Firefox adblocker for videos and films on Youtube and Google say I am using an illegal adblocker and want me to pay £12.99 per month to show films and videos ad free. What can I do?

My home screen and all other browsing screens are so high and wide that I can't scroll down because the side slide bar is not on the screen. I have no idea how this happened! I can't find any articles that help me reduce the screen size that I can understand. There seems to be no solution option in firefox settings to adjust the screen size. The View tab does not help because it just offers zooming of the data on the screen, not the actual size of the screen.

I am going to use Chrome and/or MS Edge until this screen size issue is resolve by firefox, and I may not come back to using firefox any more - including cancelling my subscription to Mozilla VPN.

Firefox. LinuxMint 21.3 Cinnamon 6.0.4 , Google Mail Compose, Pressing and holding the arrow key moves the cursor one character at a time. Google Chrome works fine.

I deleted the site cookies and disabled tracking protection with no success, however, I was able to login in trouble shooting mode. I went back to normal mode but was still unable to login. Is there anything I can do to correct the problem?
