Looking for free border designs, and have found the add-on easy search tool required for most of them. Their web site has the add-on for Firefox, but how safe is it? Thanks.

On certain websites I notices I have 'unknown errors' when trying to log in.

Usually this is remedied by either using Chrome or clearing cookies and the cache.

Both of there are inconvenient and result in a great deal of wasted time.

The usual response by these websites is "get Mozilla to fix this".

I'm getting sick of this.

I don't want to switch to Chrome but I will have to if this persists.

Each time Firefox updates, the email client changes to the outlook default. The last 2-3 updates, mailto does not appear on the file,settings,applications menu. Nor will it populate if I type it in. I have tried every instruction to no avail. I am a long-time firefox user, non-techie and it is discouraging when things disappear with each update lately. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

I need to print out my saved passwords. I have no cellphone to access, just my laptop and printer. I only use Firefox and no other browser. If my laptop gets hacked or breaks down, then I need to use someone else's computer to access my passwords in an emergency, and can't access my passwords to do so...so printing them out periodically is the smartest thing I can think of.

Help, anyone? This is pretty important to me. Thank you!

Followed instructions. Prefs. Privacy/Security. AutoPlay. Settings. But the screen does not look like the instructions and does not have check boxes. has box to enter url for exceptions but does not do anything. I don't want exceptions, I would like default to be autoplay off for all sites.

How do I do this. Thank you.

Firefox 99.0.1 Mac OS 10.15.7 MacBook Pro

After some time of using Firefox, opening Google somehow "breaks". Let me explain:

Upon starting FF, all works fine. After some time, however, say 5-10 minutes, when I click the URL bar and try to google something, nothing happens. If a page is already open, the browser will stay on this page. If I opened a new tab, the URL will change to the relevant google URL, but the actual tab won't change at all. Dev-Console shows an empty HTML page. It's not even attempting to load the page really, the network panel shows a single empty GET request to google and nothing more. Even if I try to go to google.com directly, nothing changes. Meanwhile, all other sites I tried (youtube, amazon, reddit, what have you) still load and behave normally. It's as if FF goes completely brain dead as soon and only if google is involved.

I can "circumvent" this by going to some other google product, say google docs, and then selecting google search in the "google apps" menu in the upper right. But the only way to "fix" it is to restart the browser entirely.

This only happens on the laptop provided by my employer and only since today. On my personal laptop, running the same version of FF with the same account and addons it works just fine. It even happens in troubleshoot mode with no addons running. Even a system restart doesn't fully fix this issue.

I'm really at a loss here, any help would be appreciated.

Here you will find a screenshot of what happens if I open a new tab and try to google "test". For whatever reason, it didn't let me upload to this form directly.

Firefox keeps disabling addons randomly, some of them are made by mozilla even. I am getting them from the official addon site so they shouldn't be illegitimate ones. Let me know what information about my install I can give to help.

Hi, I'm trying to clear my cache and site data (in order to update my gmail signature), and each time I clear selected sites - namely gmail which had hundreds of thousands of GB cached - it just comes back. After tyring this 4-5 times, Youtube started having hundred of thousands of GB cached too!! So now, despite managing data an clearing these repeatedly, there's more than when I started. I think I'm stuck in a loop somewhere, please help! thanks in advance

Hi everyone; Recently my FB account got hacked and I went through hell and back to get it recovered. Funny thing is, it still doesn't work, it did briefly for the initial login just enough time to enable a 2 step challenge for which I selected SMS, NOT any security key via USB. As you can see in the picture, every time when I try to login (or switch in FB from a backup account into the primary), I'll get this message. Now it's stating that it's a Firefox/Mozilla request but it only appeared after my FB was hacked, never before. Could a developer/SME please take a look at this? Current Version 99.0.1 (64-bit)

My firefox browser is completely unable to load any tabs. The search bar works but screen remains blank after pressing enter, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no change. Thank you any help

My google drive keeps disconnecting, and google drive/google docs links are not working. I have attached a screenshot of the new tab page when I copy paste a google sheets document URL into the search bar and hit enter. After the reloading icon animates, I stay on the new tab page and the url just sits there. The debug console shows 1 GET request that is timed out (picture also attached).

I can fix the issue by completely closing all firefox windows and opening again, but it will disconnect me after some minutes.

Hi there. I'm in the process of switching from Chrome and I want to import my passwords.

I first tried the 'import from Chrome' option - it says it's successful, but nothing has actually been added. Same result after several attempts.

I then tried the csv route. I found out I had to change the config settings, so I did just that, but the 'import CSV' option still isn't showing even after a reset.

So now I'm at a dead end. Any bright ideas please? TIA!

I have a new email address that I need to add in my profile. I have entered the new email but it seems to never have completed the process and doesn't show up as a secondary email, so I can remove the old address that I have been trying to close for 6 months. Now when I re-enter the address as an add, I get a message that it already exists and the page locks up...I can't do anything with it, except close it or go back 1 page. I would like to close the old address, but I can't since it is the only address to receive email from Firefox. HOW do I get this fixed and move on ?????? Thanks, Mitch

Firefox recently stopped playing embedded youtube videos on my phpBB forum site?

i keep the latest firefox and only recently showed up embedded videos play fine on Chrome and others

ADDITIONAL COMMENT: why don't you include a date on these posting? a lot of wasted time on old posts? and also need a 'Preview' on these before posting?

When I go to download a ZIP file, it will always attempt to download the file directly rather than letting me open it with WinRAR. When I go into the browser settings I see that some other file types have options to choose how they're handled, but there's no entry for ZIP files. I've tried refreshing my Firefox install and yet the issue still persists.

I used to have this option before I reinstalled Windows a while back (where I kept my files but not programs). I don't know for sure that that's what caused this to start, but the timing would line up.

Last Saturday, I was able to sign in to Firefox Add-Ons Firefox Add-Ons and submit a pre-release of an add-on I'm working on. But today, I'm being forced to enable 2FA to simply log in to the site. I don't want to enable 2FA, I just don't need it. Can someone explain me why is this happening ? Can I just log in and submit my add-on's update ?

I've tried to sign in two different MacBooks (M1 12.1 and Yosemite 10.10.5), using two different Firefox versions (99.0.1 and 78.15.0esr). Also, I haven't enabled 2FA in my personal account.

This bug occurs very randomly, but it seems there have few things in common.

- Occurring on domain level, one domain at once. For example, if Youtube.com stuck, any sub address including each video page is not loaded. Other website and whole browser works fine. - Other program on same PC is not affected, too. - Which page is stop loading is completely random. It might be happen only on a popular, feature-rich site like amazon, google, but not sure. - The timing is also random. Maybe after waking PC up from sleep, but not sure. Frequency of occurrence is once every 1~5 days. - The workaround without restarting browser is 1.)switching to other container tabs(strangely), 2.)opening website on private window. Disabling all the addon manually didn't help.

Since it's randomness, I didn't have any logs about this issue.
