Problem: I have Win10. Firefox 107. I have noticed that if I have opened only regular/textual web pages in my tabs like news/articles then PC goes to sleep after specified time of inactivity. But if I open in the one tab some media content like videoclip/animation/movies and put media content on pause then PC doesnt go to sleep after specified time. PC goes to sleep only by manual command (Start>Sleep). Even If I close the tab with media content PC doesnt go to sleep after specified time. I should or totally close the browser with all opened tabs or manually select Start>Sleep.

Could you help to resolve this issue ?

On the screenshots are shown that some of firefox processes couldn't stop making some activity, every second they make some web request or disk operation. May be this is reason why PC cant go to sleep. But again, this is happen only or some media content is put on pause or some tab with media content has been closed.

In my newsletter subscription options, I did NOT checked the "Firefox Account Tips" option but I keep receiving mail saying this : "You're receiving this email because [edited] @gmail.com has a Firefox account and is subscribed to Firefox Account Tips."

Could you please fix this issue so that I don't receive these mails anymore ?

I am sure you get this question a lot, but maybe my story is a bit unique. A few weeks ago all my computer equipment, phones etc. were seized in an FBI raid about photos of Area 51 that I posted online. I have not been charged, but I lost ALL my data. Being able to recover my old Firefox login would be a huge help because many passwords I desperately need are stored in that account. I have access to the email address that was used for the user name of my account, but I don't remember the password. I have already tried close to 50, but no joy. Is there ANY way to recover the password? I am willing to pay a reasonable fee for assistance. Thanks!

Is there a way for the new window animation in Firefox for Mac to be disabled?

Safari does not do this, but firefox has a... ~100ms animation for new windows that's extremely frustrating for those of us who do not use tabs (Apple's Exposé/Mission Control obsoletes them).

I haven't found a configuration in about:config, although I've been able to disable a few others.

I much prefer Firefox to Chrome and others but whenever I use the google search function in the search bar, ALL the results seem to be USA-based. 100% useless for me, an English-speaking European living between France and England. What do I need to do to my Firefox browser to tell it once and for all that I am not American and nor am I interested in American content?!? TIA KB

I often use the cync, as its very a usefull tool, for when my pc crashes and I have to re-install windows. What is a real pain though, is even when I have the latest version of fire fox installed , after cync has completed, I stll get back many book marks that I have deleted well be before my last recync and with an older version of firefox. Which i find to be a real pain.

Would it not be possible to change the way cync works, ie, you cold add a button, words to the effect "cync from online to you", in that way, I know I am getting the book marks and data I sent up there last time, I cync-ed

Or to cync your data, when wishing to put all your latest bookmarks offline, would it not be possible to "clear online bookmars and data.

While browsing the web archive, I saw a site called netsacpe archive, after browsing for a bit, I saw a title called Make your firefox browser look like netsacape and I clicked it, it was talking about some add-ons, I searched all of them in firefox add-ons and I couldn't find them anywhere

After updating firefox from version 106 to 107 scrolling and site animations is choppy. 107.0.1 didn't fix the problem.

Hi when playing games, my middel mouse button, still messes up calling up all the windows i have active. it is most annoying, i have tried to alter the about:config middel mouse(something) to false, but it still happens why, did u even program such a stupid thing ? anyways please help :)

I have no sound output whilst streaming via Firefox, I have sound when direct via the steaming service app and Bing. I went through the help pages with no solution... Suggestions please. Many Tks.

I have recently upgraded my macOS to Monterey 12.6.1. Now, when I click a link in an e-mail or on social media, Firefox will not open. I must manually open Firefox on my desktop before clicking the link. I cannot find a toggle in Firefox Preferences to change this behavior. How can I change this?

Adblock is unable to deactivate thumbnails appearing towards the end of a Youtube video! I've restarted FF but result is the same.

A msg. suddenly appeared at the top of my ff general settings page saying "your organization is managing your browser". Upon clicking on it it appears that Chrome has taken over most of my ff settings and disabled some of them. I have NO organization; I am retired and have a personal computer that only I use for personal things. I have run numerous anti malware programs that have found nothing. I have restored the computer to a much earlier time. I chose Firefox, NOT Chrome. Please help me get rid of this. And please don't assume I have knowledge as I am old and not very computer literate so if you could use simple terms I can understand that would be much appreciated. If no help, what can I do next to get some. Thank you I am using Windows 7 home premium on an older Dell business machine.

I have used both the latest downloads for Firefox and the Private Browsing and have the same problem. Tabs won't open. Even a new tab to open Mozilla support won't open; I had to copy the URL and then open in the Private Browsing program to get in here. Then, the tabs that were already open on various sites freeze. What's going on?

At some point, I have lost the ability to use "Command `" to toggle among open pages: those listed as available in the Windows menu.

Has this function been deleted? Can I restore it? Any assistance appreciated.
