In Proton Mail, when I receive an email with an picture attached inline, I get the following error message: "Your browser could not verify the remote server's identity. So I'll be typing like normal (I type 100 WPM), and all of a sudden, I'll type a sentence, but each individual letter starts taking about 3 seconds to show up on the screen. I have to sit and wait a super long time for everything I typed to finally show up. Other times, I move my mouse over something I should be able to click on, and have to wait a long time for the arrow to turn into a hand, letting me click on it. These periods of slowness will last a few minutes, then disappear.
What's really interesting is that when the slowness starts, I can type just fine up in the URL bar. I might type my entire message there, then copy paste it down to where ever I was wanting to post it. However, when I do that, if I have another tab open and that tab is playing music, the music will start to break up and lag as I type. Again, after a while, the slowness disappears and we're back to normal.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Hi there,
I need to be able to use Command-I (for italics) or Command-B (for bold) when using Firefox to write emails and enter information on other websites WITHOUT Firefox opening Page Information or Bookmarks.
This is basic browser functionality! People use browsers to write emails and other online documents, and the hotkey combo for things like Bold and Italics on Macs are Cmd-B and Cmd-I. All such websites I use recognize that as a standard, but Firefox insists on using those same commands for browser features I almost never use and certainly don't need hotkeys for.
All the information I'm finding online on how to fix this is deeply unhelpful and far more complicated than I can handle. Can you please tell me if there is a simple way to stop Firefox from pulling up Page Information and Bookmarks as a result of keyboard commands, or at least for me to change what those commands are so that they don't conflict with industry standard commands for text formatting on the vast majority of websites?

However Firefox does not remember any file associations. The MimeTypes.rdf file in the profile is missing and is also not created on restarting the browser.
In the options I've now set the configuration to "Ask whether to open or save files". Now I see a popup when clicking on a file however there is no checkbox with "remember this file associations" (or something similiar).

There is the same extension in the list of your browser extensions... but it doesn't give an alarm if the site changes. I have always been able to use the Mac setting to Double Click Title Bar to Minimize windows and it's always worked fine with Firefox. Until Sonoma, but with a stipulation.
It will not respond at all to a double click, but ONLY when I have chosen to show the title bar in Firefox. It works fine clicking in the tab plane as long as I have Show title bar turned off. This is a bit bizarre, but it appears a recent update of Firefox no longer works like that in Sonoma. Works fine on a Windows 10 machine and on a Mac running an older OS.
Note that I did do all the proper troubleshooting, reset Firefox, start in safe mode and all to no avail. When Show Title Bar is turned on, double click to minimize simply does not work.

Whenever I try to write anything into the address bar the suggestions cover it completely and I can't see what I am writing, see Picutre1!
However when I launch the browser in troubleshoot mode from the help menu, everything works fine, see Picture2.
The only addon I have installed is Youtube adBlock. There are two plugins running, a codec by sisco systems and a decrypt module by google.
Could somebody help me with this problem?
