Hello, I recently installed Ubuntu 24.04 with the version of Thunderbird (115.10.1) supplied with the distribution. I can no longer display mail saved as .eml in a remote folder (sftp). Thunderbird opens, but the mail window is empty. If I ask for the source code, this message appears:

Unable to read file at address view-source:file:///run/user/1000/kio-fuse-ouSeRu/sftp/myuser@myserver/mymessage.eml?type=application/x-message-display.

If I open from CLI I get this message :

JavaScript error: chrome://messenger/content/aboutMessage.js, line 218: NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED: Component returned failure code: 0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED) [nsIMsgDBHdr.mime2DecodedSubject]

If I open the save file with a file editor I'm able to see the source code.

I am trying to remove the mobilisearch.com virus from my Firefox browser. I have tried a reset and have also tried the Zemana virus removal tool. Neither have worked. Any suggestions please

Hi there, Can anyone help me please. Ive been using Firefox forever and yesterday I signed into a Gmail account to send an email to someone, I typed in who it was to, then subject and then when I went to type into the body of text, the keyboard wont work.

I thought there was an issue with the keyboard but I then I tried to type in issues on firfox and loads of text is missing, I basically cant use firefox at the moment as Im only viewing half the info.

Ive been sent a credit not from someone and this is what its viewing like.

I didnt change anything that Im aware of

I am unable to connect to my printer over my local wifi using the IP address when using Firefox (126.0) on MacOS. On Linux (Firefox 125.0.3, for Ubuntu), the procedure is simply to type the IP address into the search bar, and press enter, and it works. On MacOs, no way to get to that website, I only get a Google search (I also tried adding http:// or https://, or tried creating a Bookmark and modifying the address there, it simply refuses to update if I just have http://xxx.xxx.x.xxx as the address)...

Any chance there might be a way for me to connect to that IP-only website?

Hello, so when I watch youtube on FF my cpu usage goes up alot and the fans go nuts. I have a very capable i5, rtx3070 machine and this issue started just a couple of days ago. I have not done any changes or updates which could trigger this problem. The problem starts mainly when I Watch in full screen mode or have multiple non-fullscreen vids active. All other apps show no signs of problem. I can watch the exact same video in Edge, no fans/high cpu, VLC works fine, Chrome is OK, it's only in FF that the problem occurs.

I have tried the following: 1.Reinstalling FF 2. Activating HW acceleration in FF and forcing it in Windows11 3. Theatre mode is off and all other YT settings are off. 4. Updated Nvidia and windows 5. FF is the latest version. 6. Disabled all my addons/plugins

No clue what can cause this..

I am sorry if I have doubled up on this but I am not sure what heading to give it. Since the most recent update of Firefox I have been unable to use Afterpay. My Afterpay account still works in Chrome and through the phone app. Afterpay themselves have checked through my account and their system, and there are no problems. Therefore, they recommended that I reach out to Firefox to request help. I want to use Firefox as I have done for years, but I cannot use it if it is incompatible with my Afterpay account. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

For years I've watched General Hospital at ABC.com using FF as my browser. Recently, however, the videos won't play; all I'm getting are a lot of zeros (for playtime etc) and the settings gear & other options on the lower right are missing. This is happening with all shows on their site.

I'm not getting any Error Messages except when trying to watch "ABC Live" where I still can't watch but am getting an error message. I've cleared my cookies and cache, made sure the DRM content switch is on and that abc.com is allowed to leave cookies. I've also contacted their support staff but they haven't been able to help.

I'm not having any problem when I use a different browser. At least I'm not missing any episodes but I'd much rather NOT use Chrome.

I've included some screenshots below to help describe what's happening.

I am currently using T-Bird 115.11 on Windows 10. Not that it matters much, because I have had this problem continually for years with various editions of Thunderbird on Win7 as well. Often when I open Thunderbird, I discover it has created hundreds and even thousands (today 65,000) duplicates of emails in various mailboxes. This has nothing to do with downloading. The emails in question were downloaded weeks or even months ago, and I havev't accessed them. Another problem is that Thunderbird creates emails dated in 1970, even before anyone thought of the internet, let alone PCs or emails. Why is this happening? How can I prevent it?

I have a problem with my T-Online account.

Thunderbird ESR 115.11.0

Windows 11

IMAP

As soon as I open Thunderbird, all 8400 mails in the account are deleted.

Only the mails from yesterday and today are still there. The account also works - sending and receiving.

Other accounts (Gmail and Strato ) are ok.

Have copied an offline backup of the account to TB - as soon as I go online the mails are deleted again.

Copying and moving the mails offline to a local folder does not work either.

TB first tries to establish a connection to the server - which of course doesn't work offline.

Would hate to reinstall as there are a lot of local folders.

For some reason, Mozilla is showing me different folders in the "new bookmark" dialog than it is when I go into my actual bookmarks. I added a new subfolder through the "new bookmark" dialog, but it isn't showing up when I open my bookmarks menu. I then tried adding a subfolder in the bookmarks menu to see if it worked the other way around, but that folder isn't showing up in the "new bookmark" dialog either. Ideas? Suggestions? I'm a relatively new Firefox user, and this is really frustrating me!

"Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again." I've tried every combination and still can't send emails. Optus insist that their issues have been resolved. Please help.

My @gn.apc.org (IMAP) inbox has a limited capacity to display, to keep important email. They simply drop-off the list. It currently saves only today's emails. This cannot be correct. I have attached a timeline. Appreciate some info & advice

Hi, 3 weeks ago I suddenly could not log in to my email without errors.

First I get a Google screen "Choose an account" showing the three Gmail accounts I use. I select the first one.

"Mozilla Thunderbird wants to access your Google Account". This refers to calendars. I take the Allow option.

Then I get the message "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Thunderbird detected a potential security threat and did not continue to localhost. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details."

When I close this window I get another Google screen .

I have seen hints that this might be a certificate issue but I have tried in vain to find certificates stored in Thunderbird.

this interface uses pop3

When emails are pulled, I can see that it pulls, let's say, 50 messages, the notification shows 25 new messages but the inbox only shows 10. I have looked everywhere for the "missing messages" but don't see them anywhere. I have also had some people tell me that they sent an email response (so they were not entering the email address) and I don't see it.

What could cause these differences?

Before the update on April 29 I had no issues with my eBay account on Firefox. Now I am unable to get the pages to work properly. I cannot list any items for sale nor can I change any of my items in my store. Nothing saves and then redirects me to the homepage. eBay is one of my trusted seitz so I have no idea what’s causing this. It’s not eBay because my other accounts work fine on Chrome and on Safari. It happened exactly when the last update happened. And the only way that I can actually get back to the original site is to clear all my cookies and log out and start all over again, only to have the same issues over and over. I don’t know who to contact. I’m losing money in my Business every day because of this so I’m going to have to change my browser unfortunately if I don’t get a solution as soon as possible.
