Where are you trying to paste content?

If you use MS Works then try Edit > Paste Special.

anything. For example words that I want to paste in the google search tool. I think that I have solved the problem by increasing the virtual memory. Lets see if it continues to work. Thanks

I recently started having the same problem on some webpages, immediately after finally updating from FF 3.6 to 12 (on Windows XP-SP3). The same issue does NOT occur in IE.

But I determined an easy workaround: If I use the keyboard shortcut ctrl-C to copy from the webpage (instead of the Copy command), it pastes into Word OK -- no more insufficient-memory error. I am perplexed as to why this should make any difference (maybe it's related to an add-on?), but it works for me.

Please may I suggest adding more real memory (DDR3) to your PCs? Since you get this message it seems to suggest you both have little memory in your PCs.

Appreciate the suggestion cyborg4, but my 2GB ram should be plenty for surfing some web pages and copying/pasting a paragraph or two from a web page to a Word document. I rarely receive insufficient memory errors in other situations. There is clearly some glitch or conflict occurring -- at least in my particular case -- based on the factors I described above. But with the ctrl-C workaround I'm no longer having any issues at all.
