You can use the CTRL + T shortcut (hold contorl and hit T) or hit the + icon on the right hand side of the tabs to open a new one.
registered just to say that im amazed how retarded some users are. it is probably too early for them to use the computer at all... you can even doubleclick to get a new tab
Please don't criticize the skill levels of other Firefox users, we were all noobs at some point.
ok for some stupid reason i disabled all my addons (i have 2 toolbars neither are even from ask.com) so help also try geting rid of ask toolbar
Too many crashes
All I want to say is the FF is getting more and more crappy with every new version. I can't even list all problems after I upgraded to FF5. I'm really sick and tired of dealing with FF. At this point even Internet Explorer is better choice (as is Opera or Google Chrome). I'm of the FF wagon.
Sorry to say I also upgraded to 6; what a mistake that was. What were you people thinking? All the simple features I used every day are gone or hidden three clicks down. If I can't find a way to get back to 3.6, I'm gone.
Firefox used to allow you to open bookmarked pages in new tabs too, but now, you have to click on the + or do control, T. How many more steps can we add to previously simple tasks?
Are all you people serious? In the new firefox you can change everything around View > Toolbars > Customize
Bookmarked pages in tabs: -Scroll click -Or if you have a laptop, hold control/command, and then click
New tab: -Scroll click in the open space to the right of the last tab -Control/Command + T -Click on the + to the right of the last tab
To open up bookmarks menu: -Control/command + B
Any other questions about features that haven't changed?

If it weren't for Zotero I would never use this POS again.
i have some questions about the new firefox 7.0.1.
i used to be able to see the address of the page i was on, or the link my cursor hovered over at the bottom of the screen. now i can't see that. i thought it would be the add-on bar under the view menu, but that doesn't seem to do anything except put a gray screen under my window. is there a way to get that feature back?
also, there used to be a scrolling list next to the back and forward buttons at the top left that allowed me to see multiple pages back or forward. now, i can only click the buttons one at a time to navigate back and forward. is there any way to get that feature back?
thanks.
stycotl i used to be able to see the address of the page i was on, or the link my cursor hovered over at the bottom of the screen. now i can't see that.
They dont WANT people to see where they are and what they are doing, they want all people to trust THEM that its ok, we dont need to ask or read any URL's because google hijacked mozilla is god and they know best. They have been infiltrated by spam adware spy shills desgined to steal peoples privacy and destroy Firefox.Firefox is DEAD.
