Using the Firefox VPN on Android TV

more options

Hi,

I'd like to use my VPN account on a Nexus Player (Android TV). I know that the app is not full ready (https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/mozilla-vpn-client/issues/560) but I'd like to know if someone managed to get it to run on TV.

On my Nexus Player the installation (sideloading from a file manager) didn't work, with no useful message.

Any help appreciated!

Quick followup, I managed to get the sideloading error:

`adb: failed to install mozilla-vpn.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_NO_MATCHING_ABIS: Failed to extract native libraries, res=-113]`

Looks like armv7 is not supported?

Hello!

Thank you for reaching out,

Unfortunately, the Mozilla VPN is not designed to work on Android TVs, Firestick or other SmartTV devices. It may be something we look at in the future, but for now, it is only available for Windows 10, Android, iOS, macOS and Linux devices.

We're always striving to improve our products and your feedback is invaluable in that goal!
