how do I get my favorites icon back to my homescreen?

HI Nanaloveshergirls, I understand that favorites are no longer on the homescreen of the android device. I have seen after updates that the icons would change, but not the shortcuts. Are they still there, but do you see multiple browser icons? (it will take the icon of the default browser I believe)
