Tried mail.twc.com and it just sends me back to Spectrum. I can get my mail on Spectrum but not my Thunderbird icon. Doesn't work on our iphones either.

I had to turn off Norton VPN to use Thunderbird as my email client for the Comcast email service. Is there any strategy to allow Thunderbird to work through a VPN? I use the POP protocol and keep all saved messages (hundreds) on my PC, not on the email server.

This is absolutely insane. I set up a email account(also did about a year ago) and I can not get back to my mail. Why in gods name is it so difficult? I have multiple email accounts with most all the major email websites and this one is utterly impossible to use. I just keep ending up in the same spot with no information to help get out of the endless circle. I don't even know if I could find my way back to here. I will give you my email address to try and get something more constructive than the past two days. I want to make mozilla products my main users for all my different platforms to simplify my life but I am having my doubts about thunderbird. So far it is a useless time waster. I'm shocked that this is under the Mozilla name. I normally associate Mozilla with high quality, easy to use products. Despite the fact that I have set Thunderbird to display messages as plain text, my needs are not being fully respected. If the message contains some form of markup, presumably HTML, the font size is not what I have chosen. Generally, the font size is smaller than what I have specified in the Thunderbird settings.

This is unacceptable. It is a usability / accessibility issue. If the user chooses Plain Text and sets a font size, they have done that for a reason. Which is accessibility. If Thunderbird ignores the needs of users and applies styling rules to messages, that is a failure state.

Is there some way to actually, truly, absolutely display all messages as plain text in a specified font, weight, and size? If not, what is the protocol for reaching developers so that they can respond to this issue?

some time ago I configured by thunderbird account to announce "You have mail" and it worked reliably until frontier moved email support to yahoo. Since then I get the "you have mail" announcement for a low percentage of new mail messages received. I contacted yahoo mail support and they responded that this is a problem with thunderbird and has nothing to do with yahoo. I suspect it's a matter of which process "sees" the new message first - thunderbird of yahoo mail. I've tried not having a yahoo mail window active, but that makes no difference. Most of the time now I get only a "gong" sound when a new mail message is received rather than "You have mail" voice notification.

I can setup the Calendar event, save it and see it in my Home Calendar along with the little bell icon in the top right hand corner which tells me the Calendar is aware of the notification request. I generally add a reminder for the Calendar event but just noticed that no actual reminders are being generated.

To install a Windows 10 update (I'm on extended support) I told it to update & shutdown. I fired it up this morning and Thunderbird is asking for credentials. It usually just runs & downloads emails. I enter my password, then a code from authenticator app. It shows the page below in an embedded browser window that has a checkbox and an "Agree" button. I check the box but the Agree button is still disabled. Dead end. I cannot connect & I'm stuck.

Hi there. I'm looking for a shortcut that takes me from the folderlist pane to the message pane and the first new message, when I'm on the inbox folder. The tab is not good. It moves between to many fields/options.

The qr code displayed in the account transfer email from thunderbird is bigger than my pc screen. Snapping a picture with phone camera not possible. I employ visual accessibilities on pc as I am elderly and have tried to get emails to appear smaller. Cannot get entire qr image on screen.

I like to default to having threading on. It used to be that when I opened my Inbox, every email thread was closed/collapsed. Now they're open (started somewhat recently).

I can get numerous separate emails where each one can generate lots of responses, meaning they threads get long, sometimes within a few minutes or hours. Having them closed by default (rather than open or unthreaded) makes it to see each individual email chain and other interspersed single emails.

I tried google searching; also tried threaded and grouped by sort (with the default sort set to thread), and it doesn't seem to help. Any help would be appreciated!
