Firefox on Android won't display pop-ups. I've checked privacy setting but there's no checkbox for a popup blocker. Also tried about:config but didn't find any setting to change. Any ideas on how to be sure Firefox is comfigured to allow popups? I participate on a Zoom webinar and can't start Zoom through Firefox so have to use Chrome.

After using the latest version of firefox android, my favorite feature after searching on the google is "Open in App" or "Open links in App" is absent and not working properly like it used to be. Now I must copy-paste the title of the video from youtube site, manually from this browsers to the Youtube App (Native app). This feature should be on the 3-dots on the right corner, bellow "Find in page" and "Desktop site". Screenshots that I'm upload are when I open Youtube video and Telegram group after I'm searching from the browsers but CAN'T find "open in App", I want to opened it from my native app not from browser.

To my horror I was seeing images on webpages, totally ruining my browsing experience. The main reason I use firefox on Android is because it allows me to turn off media. I don't want to see any of that, almost always entirely irrelevant, distraction. Now I'm going to have to use Samsung internet and continually click reader mode. This is NOT about ad blocking, it is not about saving data. It is about drastically improving the browsing experience. Please reinstate blocking of all images and videos.

When I receive an email from Firefox Accounts (for example when I sign in on a new device), the email is in French instead of English. All other menus and webpages from Mozilla are correctly in English. It's only Accounts emails that have this problem.

There is no language option on the settings page at accounts.firefox.com. My language is set to English on every browser I'm signed in on, and my IP is in an English-speaking region. My email client and devices are set to English as well.

My guess is that a Firefox Accounts setting was changed to French many years ago, and at some point that setting was removed, leaving it stuck in French. Anyone know a way around this?

Can I customize which links are opened externally on FF for android?

At present, it seems that I can only choose to have all links or no links opened by an external app.

Simplest might be to enable the user to configure a list of exceptions, which of the two possibilities is chosen:

A user who chooses to have all links open in apps should be able to specify a list of links which still open in firefox; and one who chooses to have none of them open in apps should be able to specify a set of links which nonetheless open in FF.

Please note that this question/request is identical to one called "Costumize which links opened externally on FF for android?" (Obviously that user meant "customize" and not "costumize.") Unfortunately that question is archived, and I could not just click "me too").

...Desktop site option setting does not stick! After switching tabs for 5 mins, it changes back to mobile site view & I HAVE TO X out of tab, reopen it, & check desktop site again! You can't just reset the desktop site option on & off either, doesn't work. You MUST X out the tab & start all over. ...It's a real pia! In older versions it always worked, always defaulted even days later! However, NOT in the last few versions, why can't it still currently work now? It should! ...And god for bid you find any real support! And probably won't get it here either. ...."IS" there ANY real, live support around here? A developer email? Anything??? Hi, This is so frustrating, but this is the second time it happens for me (two different websites), so I'm kind of sure this is a bug. I go to "website settings" and block autoplay for audio and video on data, yet it autoplays them. Each time, I am forced to choose the option 'block autoplay' (regardless of whether I'm using data or WiFi), which successfully blocks them. At first, I thought it was just an accident, but turns out it's more likely a confirmed bug.

Until a few weeks ago I could open links in external apps , e.g. Wikipedia. But since some update this doesn't work anymore; the web page still opens in Firefox. The setting is set to "always".

Can anyone help?

I was looking for the settings button on the Firefox Android app but cannot find it in its usual place in the meatball menu in the bottom right (I have the search/tabs bar set at the bottom of the screen). Please see attached screenshot. Could you please let me know where the settings button has been moved to? I can't find it by myself, and as this seems to be a relatively recent change I can't find anything online/in the FAQ about where it might have gone. Thank you! :)

I am using an updated version of Firefox on Android. (118.1.1) I was trying to use the "add to home screen" function for a website but i can't find it in the menu. Did it disappear? The install function worked in a way to make an icon for a website on the home screen, but it only gives it a generic name.

Good afternoon, the complaint I have is when I make Firefox my default browser it doesn't stay and I've to continually change it back so when I clicking on a link instead of going to Firefox like I want it too it instead goes to my Samsung internet browser. I know that I have had that option a long time ago and I want it back . I could save my website settings in a cloud and than if I needed I could backup them.

I am using the Firefox Nightly version and when I click on links related to Instagram, YouTube or other applications, it takes me directly to the application.

But when I click on the my course link, it directs me directly to Microsoft's own site to download the application. (Microsoft Teams)

I tried this in other browsers, but they did not have such a problem. That's why I downloaded and tried other Firefox versions, but they also have the same problem...

I also disabled the extensions but the problem is the same.

So the problem is, while Firefox Nightly opens other sites in the application, it does not open it in the application when i click on this course link. What is the source of the problem?

Trying to make Firefox my default browser

Yesterday the option to make Firefox my main browser turned on on my Android phone. It won't let me turn it on. I have Google on my phone, but I never updated it, I updated myself yesterday, I can't turn it off. I also have a MI browser that is disabled. When Fitefox is not my main browser, I cannot add web shortcuts to the start screen, and I use it all the time and miss it a lot. What should I do to restore the option to make Firefox my main browser? I used to have Google but now I don't know what's going on? Help me please!!!
