Help! I need a direct download of the current version of Firefox for android. I do not want to get it via Google play store and have to sign in for it there because I do not trust them. Can anyone at Firefox provide me with a direct link please? Thanks guys.

It's possible that I misread the documentation, but I looked for a response to this question for 20 minutes, and I couldn't find a 100% clear answer about my question when it comes to Firefox for Android.

Say I install an extension on Firefox for Android, that requires permission just for a specific website (e.g. let's say, for example, it's an add-on for blocking automated translations on youtube, with permission scope restricted to youtube only). Later, the extension automatically updates itself (as apparently, it's not possible to disable automated updates for extensions on Firefox for Android). The update now includes a larger permission scope, for example permissions for some other websites, or even the permission to "Access your data for all websites".

My questions are:

Is this scenario possible? If so, will I be notified of the changes in permission scope? Would I be able to block the update in this case?

On Firefox for Android beta, there's a critical annoying bug. When you click on a link, any link, it will look as if Firefox will load the web page but suddenly, it goes back to the previous web page. This is incredibly frustrating since it's almost like you're redirected back randomly. I checked this with no extensions enabled as well as even with just ublock origin and privacy badger extensions enabled

Sync has been mostly usable the past 2 yrs and now all my data is randomly gone. I had a android and desktop syncing and nothing else. Are there backups or previous versions of saved data? This right here is what I feared for so many years.... Where's my data? Don't send me generic answers. Is there a backup on a server or not? If so give it up

As is well known, Firefox China（ https://www.firefox.com.cn , which is now inaccessible and can be viewed on the history page in the Internet Archive.) The service was stopped a few days ago, which led to the removal of Firefox for Android from all app markets in Chinese Mainland, which means that users in Chinese Mainland will not be able to download Firefox for Android. After all, users in Chinese Mainland cannot access Google App Store. May I ask if there is any solution? Hello, due to problems with the Firefox Beta (for Android), I switched to the stable version. However, with this version I also encounterd some problems, mainly regarding the homepage: In the beta version collections are displayed (at the bottom) of the homepage. In my stable version, I cannot see the collections at all. I can still add sites to collections, and when doing so, all my collections are shown but I don't know how to access them. I could not find anything about it in the settings. Is this the regular behavior? If not, how can I change it?
