Hello, I wanted to create a script that doesn't allow me to disable a certain extension. For that I thought to locate the file in which the states of extensions are put. I searched online, and the answer appears to be that such file is available in extensions folder in my profile. However, I am unable to find extensions folder under my profile.

I would appreciate the help.

When v143 was released something happened to the shortcuts row(s). Regardless of refreshing efforts, rolling back versions, and searching the forums, there's no way to consistently get the shortcuts back. Sometimes they appear with a new browser instance, sometimes they don't. They don't appear with new tabs, and they don't stay when they do appear with a new browser. Grrrr. Please restore the shortcuts!

Hi, I am having this problem where I am watching a video and there is a very annoying white line at the top of the screen, I have already tried the trick to turn off the titlebar but its still there. My version is updated all the way as well, what do I do now?

Does Firefox support webAuthn passkeys stored by the browser? I have an app that I am working on and I would like to be able to use this feature.

If Firefox cannot store passkeys can you explain why this has not been added?

Firefox used to close completely when I close the last tab. The last update broke that behavior. How can I get it back the way it was? This new behavior is sick!!!

I used to be able to clear all data with no problem, but now it's holding to Gmail login data (I think that's the problem, anyway). I clear all data after each browsing session and have been doing so for a long time, but it's not working anymore. But it is working on my husband's laptop and we're on the same version of Windows (11) and have the same settings. Can someone please assist in figuring out what's happening behind the scenes? I have 2 machines (Win10 and Win11) with FF 140.3.1esr (32-bit) installed which demonstrates the same failure when I enter one site's url:

PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

Chrome at the same machines goes at this url w/o any failures. Any ideas what to change on "about:config" in FF to allow it opening this url w/o such error?

Hello, Firefox won't save my download history between sessions, history is set to remember. I tried doing the refresh on the installer and even reinstalling firefox and deleting all mozilla folders in %localappdata% and %appdata% before reinstalling. it just forgets all downloads once I close firefox.

Please let me know how to get my favorite sites back on my home screen. I use them a lot as they are real time savers. When I signed on this morning, it asked if I wanted Firefox to access my computer. I've always said yes and the updates have never caused a problem - until today.

I would appreciate an email ([edited email from community support forum]) letting me know how to get this to work.

I have various shortcuts saved on the shortcut page comes up after logging in. Its set to 2 rows.. I use it every day. Used it this morning and working perfectly. Been out and when I came back the page is totally blank. I've tried sytem restore to 5th October but makes no difference. I use Windows 10 and read that Firefox are continuing to support Windows 10 I'm visually impaired and use a desktop PC with a large screen. I'm not PC techically knowledgeable. How do I restore my shortcuts or how do I re create them?

The favicons on my homepage are not appearing when I launch Firefox, and I can't find any way to restore them. Turning the favicons on/off in the settings doesn't help, it just moves the location of the search bar. I've included some images to better illustrate the problem.

Is there any way we can restore the favicons?

I have pop up blockers set to allow pop up blockers, but ev en though they are turned on. Firefox will not allow pop up windows in the learning management software (D2L brightspace) used at my university.

Two questions .......... You have my operating system as windows 10, it is windows 11 ??? ......... 2nd question ......... when I bring up Firefox it shows the weather for Chicago, I live in Minneapolis/St. Paul area, following your weather location change instruction, the weather still goes back to Chicago.

This has just started happening today. When I open FF my recent tabs do NOT open. I have the option selected in settings to open with recent tabs. In history I do not have the option to re-open recently closed tabs.

Any suggestions how to fix this defect?

Just noticed today my firefox search bar has changed. I'm on Ver 143.0.4

Before I could click on it and it would show my recent visited websites. Now it shows nothing unless I choose history from the down error however after I go to a website I no longer have the option to click in and see my history again. I need to open a new tab.

Any idea how I can change this back as It seems like a very bad feature.

Never had an issue printing google maps until a few weeks ago. Now the print function brings up the page header but no map. The map prints every time when I switch to Chrome. I opened the troubleshooting information page and clicked saved print settings in the printing section. That did not fix the issue.

When I discover that I have already bookmarked a URL, I want to easily discover in which of my folder(s) I have saved the bookmark. In some cases, the hosting site morphs the bookmarked URL with a redirect, so I am unable to discover the containing folder by browsing to the URL. Sigh. I would also like to discover situations where I have already bookmarked a single URL in several different folders.

I have downloaded the JSON for my bookmarks file and parsed the JSON. I now know that I have 7388 URLs bookmarked which are saved across 111 folders.

I am having trouble discovering the parent/child relationships between the various folders in which the bookmarks are saved. I have several situations where child folders have the same names and can be identified only when the child's parent folder is known.

Undated Firefox documentation at [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../BookmarkTreeNode#parentid] suggests that each node in the bookmark tree should have a parentid and an index. I see an index but I do not see a parentid. I do see a GUID field. I have seen comments suggesting that parentid has been replaced by GUID.

But the values I see (GUID=FqNNI0k91ZjW, for example) do not make sense and have no connection to the ID fields (ID=2658, for example).

Can anyone help me make sense of the GUID values I am seeing? Are GUIDs now being hashed for some reason?

Hi! I'm on a relatively new to me (refurb) desktop computer running Win 10 Pro (64 bit)* and Firefox 143.0.3.

In the past week both Firefox and Win 10 have updated. I don't know what happened, but now when I boot up or reboot, my computer opens to MS Edge. Yuck!

Every single time I have to reinstall Firefox! Once I do that, all is well again. I have all my bookmarks back, etc.

It also keeps changing my "default to Firefox" browser setting, turning it OFF, while I'm using Firefox. I repeatedly have to keep going in and clicking to make FF to the default browser again.

Why is it doing this? How do I stop it?

Anyway, I know I can't delete Edge or uninstall it. How do I shove it back into the black hole it has lived in until now?
