For the past 2 months I've found it very difficult to sign into my Hotmail account using Firefox. Microsoft keep telling me to use a VPN or another device. I like answering emails on my computer because of its large screen. I've tried signing in about 2000 times now. Firefox told me they can't help me because I'm not a Mozilla subscriber even though they own Firefox. Microsoft told me it's Mozilla's problem. Can anyone help me please. John in the Philippines.

Hello, I'm experiencing a problem where my website fails to load in the Firefox browser on some devices. I've thoroughly checked things on my end and reviewed the website settings, but I haven't been able to identify the cause.

I've tested it across multiple devices and internet connections, and the site works perfectly on other browsers like Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. But when trying to access it through Firefox, the site just gets stuck and doesn’t load at all.

I’ve already attempted a few troubleshooting steps, such as disabling browser extensions, clearing cookies and cache, and restarting Firefox, but unfortunately, none of those worked.

Is there anything else I can try to fix this? Or could someone from the support team look into it? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Using Windows 11 pc Firefox

When I click in search bar, the bar box expands to 2 rows, and "AP News apnews.com" appears in the second row of the search bar - within the search bar. It does not appear outside of the search bar. The rest of the page is totally blank per my preferences. The AP link is not included in my list of extensions, and I have no add-ons. I do not subscribe to AP News. It is not a resource I use.

Firefox version: 139.0.4 (64-bit) OS: Windows 11

I have been having issues where Firefox tab will just crash out for no reason it appears and it happens at random times and once the tab start to crash, and I restore it, it will crash again and again. The only way tog et out of the loop is to restart Firefox.

I have tried: Refreshing/Reset, Clearing Cache and History removing all themes, disabling extensions, disabling my anti virus. Turning off hardware acceleration didn't make any different.

I currently have 2 extensions enabled: uBlock Origin 1.64.0 and Bitwarden Password Manager 2025.5.0

In the about:Crashes I have reported them all and they seem to have the same type of reasons in the Raw data/Minidump which are: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_WRITE EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ

Any help as to what to try next?

When using Outlook365 Online, about 2 or 3 weeks ago the spell checking stopped working. I checked to see if this was a Microsoft account issue and it is not because when I move to Chrome the spell check works. I am running Windows 11 Pro, it is fully up-dated. I have all of the latest Firefox updates as well. I have looked at several online help articles and have done all of the suggested fixes. The spell check is turned on in Firefox. I believe with a recent up-date of Firefox, as they come regularly it triggered the issue. When using other apps, and websites the spell check works fine just not with any 365 Online product. I do have Office 19 installed on my computer which I use off line.

I’m experiencing an issue when attempting to drag and drop images directly from Firefox to my desktop in Windows 11 Pro (build 26100.4652) using Firefox 140.0.4 (64‑bit). Instead of successfully transferring the file, a “Ø” symbol appears, and the drop fails—no image is saved. What I’ve tried so far:

   Set UAC to the lowest setting.

   Launched Firefox via the -no-deelevate command.

   Verified no elevated launcher process is active.

   Tried on multiple folders including Desktop, Documents, etc.

System Details:

   OS Version: Windows 11 Pro 26100.4652

   Firefox Version: 140.0.4 (64‑bit)

I had to do an OS reset on my Dell Inspiron 17 3000. This deleted all my data files. A computer repair shop used Recuvr to recover my lost data. All of the recovered files (not just the Firefox files) are in a single folder on my desktop. I would like to know how to import them to the newly installed Firefox. Thank you very much.

Hi, I am having trouble with multiple logins being saved on site login pages. Where I have entered the wrong email, I can find these in passwords and delete them, no problem.

The way logins are saved in other cases is inconsistent. For example, some sites are saving the same login with multiple dates - why? These are not available in saved passwords to delete. This doesn't happen on every site and needs to be disabled. Other sites are saving logins for other unrelated pages. I have one page that gives me a dropdown for login to three other sites. These sites are not linked or associated with each other in any way and again, can't be found in password to delete.

The only advice I have found is to use the down arrow to select the login and press delete but this does not work anywhere. I have deleted history, disabled fill usernames and passwords automatically. History, cookies and data is set to clear every time Firefox is closed.

Hi, I recently upgraded my computer and as part of it had to reinstall Firefox for desktop. When I did, I noticed that none of my passwords, bookmarks, and such had transferred over. I tried hitting the 'Sync Now' button in the settings, but nothing happened. I then checked my phone as I had Firefox installed on it, and all my data was still there, and tried hitting the sync button, but nothing happened, the button just highlighted every time I hit it.

Going through the 'connect devices' route in the desktop settings, it popped up a qr code for me to scan, but the steps it outlined didn't make sense as there was no 'sync and save data' button to hit, as apparently with a recent update they removed that and folded it into the account menu - the same 'Sync' button I had tried fruitlessly before. I also noticed that no matter how many times I hit the button, it just said 'Updated 1 hour ago', indicating it was not actually syncing. Even when I changed the device name on my phone to 'Firefox Mobile' and then hit sync, my passwords and bookmarks didn't copy over, only the new name it seemed.

I then tried uninstalling Firefox from my phone and reinstalling it, and this time the option to scan came up during the install, but now my phone doesn't have any of the data I had been trying to recover. Additionally, in my Mozilla Account page it shows the desktop app, the new phone install of Firefox as 'Firefox on samsung SM-S921W', and the original 'Firefox Mobile', which presumably still has all the data I have been trying to recover with no success.

Please help me get my data back, I need my bookmarks and passwords primarily and believe they may be locked onto the 'Firefox Mobile' device, if they are stored anywhere at all. Even if there's an older partition of my bookmarks and passwords from a week past or some such that could be recovered would be greatly appreciated. Additionally I would greatly appreciate if you could make the Sync feature actually functional, as this has been rather stressful and aggravating - that data has been collecting over the past ten years, minimum, and some of it is rather critical.

I was trying to setup 2FA on my Mozilla account on Firefox pc browser (140 version). The process completes without issues with Aegis authenticator app, I download the backup codes and I even get the email confirming the recovery phone number was added. On the Mozilla accounts page 2FA turns to enabled. (I'm on Windows11 with latest Firefox browser version)

However after a simple refresh, it turns back to disabled. I repeated the process and same thing happens. Same even on Firefox Android. What could be the issue here?

Hello everyone, I run into a problem setting up my new mini PC, Geekom A6. I downloaded Firefox as usual from https://www.firefox.com/de/. I started the installation, and everything went through perfectly fine. When I expected that Firefox would start, only the Profile Manager started. What I already tried to fix it:

• Run Firefox as Admin -> nothing changed
• Rename profiles ini -> nothing changed; ini was not newly created.
• Manually create the Profiles folder. That actually let me start the wizard but would end in this failure message:

"Profile couldn’t be created. Probably the chosen folder isn’t writable. [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED) [nsIToolkitProfileService.createProfile]" nsresult: "0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://mozapps/content/profile/createProfileWizard.js :: onFinish :: line 250" data: no]" I gave this folder every access right for everyone, but still the same error. I tried to choose a custom folder, which worked (once in Document and once in C:/Firefox/Profile). But when I wanted to start Firefox, this error came: "An unexpected error has prevented your changes from being saved." and the option to restart Firefox. When I do so, I am once again back at the Firefox profile selection (but the previously created profile is not visible to select).

• Use an older installer of Firefox -> I tried 1.40, 1.39, and 1.38, but the same problem everywhere.
• Using winget but that led to the same error.
• Starting firefox in save mode (firefox -safe-mode) also leads to Profile Manager

I am using the latest Windows 11 24H2 and drivers are up to date.

I hope you can help me using Firefox on this device.

I am using FF desktop. All of a sudden, I get no sound through my laptop speakers when trying to watch videos (on YT and FB for example). I still get sound if I use external speakers through the 3.5" jack. I still get sound through other browsers, no matter if it's through the laptop speakers or external ones. So, it is definitely an FF problem. Sound works fine on all other media files on the laptop. Refreshing FF didn't fix it. Nor did reinstalling or restarting the laptop. I tried changing the autoplay settings as suggested in the help article, but still no laptop audio via FF. How can I fix this? Thanks
