How to UNDOCK Reload button?!
WHY would you dock the reload/stop button. Now we can't move it. I heard too many users moved it then forgot where it was. i can see how that creates support headaches for you.
At least dock it outside the URL field, and NEXT to the back/forward arrows. It creates such a horrible usability issue; just not friendly to have to move all the way across the URL field. Surely there's a better solution than dumbing it down to the lowest user skill level and just docking it.
And surely there's a customization solution for users who know what they're doing. Please. Someone.

As far as I know, the Classic Theme Restorer add-on is the only way move the Reload button outside the address bar.
- Install Classic Theme Restorer and restart Firefox when prompted.
- Open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A; Mac: Command+Shift+A), then the Extensions category.
- Next to Classic Theme Restorer, click the Options button.
- On the Main tab, make sure "Movable back-forward button" and "Hide urlbars stop & reload buttons" are checked. You might also want to check "Combine stop & reload buttons".
- Right-click an empty area of the tab bar and choose Customize.
- Drag the Back/Forward, Stop and Reload buttons onto the navigation toolbar.
- Click the Exit Customize button in the lower right corner when done.
That being said, I should point out that you can reload pages in other ways.
- Right-click any tab and choose Reload.
- Right-click an empty area of the page and choose Reload.
- Press F5.
- Press Ctrl+R.

Saw your solution because you've posted it before. Followed all the steps. The reload/stop buttons end up grayed-out. They are not functional with this solution. Would you know why?
I have had to roll back to Ver 28, I can't move the reload button next to the back / forward button as I liked it :-(

It's normal for the Stop button to be grayed out if the page has finished loading. The Reload button should always be enabled though.
I don't have any problems with it. See the attached screenshot (at the top are separate buttons, pictured while the page is loading; at the bottom are combined buttons, pictured while the page is done loading).
You may have another add-on or user style that's interferering. For help with the Classic Theme Restorer add-on, refer to the following thread on the third-party site MozillaZine.

Does theme restorer allow the reload button to be undocked and moved to the left with the back and forward buttons? I can't keep installing 29 and going back to 28 to test, I've wasted hours this morning and not just on this problem with 29 :-( I also can't view some of my pic albums in Slickpics but that's in another post. Bob.
I started over with a fresh installation of the extension and it finally did work. Thanks!
I use the Classic Theme Restorer add-on, Once the add-on is loaded, mouse to the top of the browser window, right click, and select Customize. As you can see in the screen shot, I have the buttons set up as I want.
the devs obviously think "more customizable" software UI is achieved by REMOVING previous customization options so that we need add-ons to bring them back...
...the sheer facepalm of this is so epic, I can't even fathom...
