Clicking a link on a web page is taking me to an advertising site not the page it should go to.

When I click a link on a web page it will take me to an advertising page not the page it should take me to. This is only happening with firefox not the other browsers I use. I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and this did not solve the problem. Thanks for any help. Larry

Thanks OldFox Downloaded one of the listed antimalware software and ran it. It seems to be working ok now. Thanks for your help. Larry
