After updating to 9.0.1, I have LOTS of problems. Bookmarks, google search, and more.
1. The icons accompanying the bookmarks in the list disappeared. 2. The former method of ordering the bookmarks disappeared and I cannot find any new one. The list of bookmarks in the catalogue (library? I use the program in Spanish) has become incomplete. 3. By mistake I clicked to show some bookmarks in a horizontal top bar. Now I cannot make it disappear. 4. And suddenly the google search box disappeared, too! It had been there after the updating until a while ago, when nr 3 happened. What is happening here? Something must be seriously wrong, for my bank says I cannot use some of its functions that used to work fine with Firefox if I do not go back to earlier versions.

No, this did not help. You refer me to a list of known issues after updating. I cannot find my problems there. Besides, I seem to get more all the time. The latest is that I have no location bar and no arrows to move backwards and forwards. I guess I had better change to an earlier version of Firefox. Which one do you recommend? I use Mac OS 10.5.8. And so far Firefox has worked just fine.
Did you read the "Icons missing in the Bookmarks menu" in that article?
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
- Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize"
- Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
- If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
- If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
- If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up
Thank you. Most of my problems have now been solved, but not all. I had not bothered to check on the article "missing bookmarks" since my bookmarks were there, just not the icons. But now they are back. Problems 1, 3 and 4 are solved.
But I still cannot find any way of ordering the bookmarks. The catalogue (library?) still shows only the folders, none of the so far unclassified bookmarks.
