I installed FF on my new computer, Windows 7 Toshiba, I get the message Firefox is already running, but is not responding. I had a computer expert try everything and we cannot get it to open.

Look for the firefox process firefox.exe and kill it with for instance task manager. it is also worth watching for plugincontainer.exe.
