Drop down menu's flash open then close before a selection can be made. This happened with version 4 so I uninstalled it and just downloaded and installed version 5 and it still does the same thing. This is happening with all drop down menus.
This has been occurring on my laptop running Windows 7 for about a month. I have actually uninstalled Firefox three times hoping that the re-installation would fix the problem but it still occurs. As an example, I cannot open the below box because every time I click the down arrow it just flashes.

Running Windows 7 64-bit and drop down menus in Firefox 4.0 disappear. Fix this by disable hardware acceleration in Firefix.
Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General -> Browsing: Disable “Use hardware acceleration when available”

A little more info for the Mozilla team. This occurred when I installed a new video adapter (EVGA GTX 460) that runs both monitors (HP 2408 and HP 2007.) Before disabling the hardware acceleration the problem occurred when Firefox was open on the 2408 but worked fine after being drug to the 2007.
