I need to set up a web page. Comcast my internet provider, offers free 3 page web, but it can be only created with FF 3.6 or lower or Explored 8. I now use FF5 and like it. I would like to select the version I want to use. My op sys is Windows 7 (64)

With all due respect, that is a lot of work to go thru for doing one thing at one website, and it is fraught with perils for computer users with limited skills.

Download Portable Firefox 3.6.18 and install it to your hard drive, is my recommendation.

It will install all by itself, without affecting any other version of Firefox you may have installed. No messing around with a separate "Profile" (that is done automatically, located away from any other Firefox installation) and no need to manually edit the shortcut "Properties" - just select a Desktop shortcut when you install it.

The following thread probably will help.

Please back up your Firefox profile folder before making any changes! (See Backing up your information. You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

Thanks very much! You were absolutely correct. It worked great. I tried the "Profile" thing and it got so screwed up I had to reload FF5 Thanks Again, Ron
