I'm using a Mac OS X and I am unable to download files properly in Firefox. When I right-click on an image, for example, and click "save image as," no window pops up. Additionally, other kinds of files that are supposed to automatically download either do not automatically download, or I find they save themselves as .part files--the .part comes after whatever the true extension is--in my Downloads folder. Finally, I am unable to change the designated "save files to" folder in my Firefox preferences. When I click the "choose [folder]" button, nothing happens. There is nothing entered into the file bar there. I currently have the "ask me where to save files" option on, but it either 1) doesn't ask me, or 2) asks me, then saves the file wrong.
