Hello there,

Since I started working in a new office, Gmail shows Error #001 ("Ooops" error).

This problem happens only in with Gmail, only with Firefox. Neither other browsers do not have issues with Gmail, nor other pages have problem to be loaded in Firefox. And it do happens only when connected to the wlan of the office, not at home or anywhere else (so far).

A working solution was to delete all the cookies and history related to Gmail in Firefox. However the problem repeats again.

Any support is much appreciated.

Cheers!

Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox {web link}

Remove a single website from your history {web link}

Open the History Manager <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any site settings And Passwords.

Thank you for the quick reply.

This solved the problem in first instance (done as mentioned in my first post). But it happens again after a few minutes.

Web search: https://www.bing.com/search?q=Gmail+shows+Error+%23001 you may see error messages like “Oops… the system encountered a problem (#001) – Retrying in 1s…” frequently. This indicates that the services are blocked, or your VPN is terminated

Thanks for your reply. Indeed - but the fact that happens only in Firefox, only when connected to a specific wlan... I am not an expert at all, but having three browsers open at the same time with gmail, the issue only happens with Firefox.

Firefox is more unforgiving than other web browsers. Try out what I posted. Also, look at the link for other information.
