I cannot select Firefox to open files.
I'm trying to open a picture set in Firefox, when everything is going smoothly I see the pictures no problem, however, when I try to reload one of the pictures due to a failure to load it asks to open in Chrome as default. I can select "Open with" and go select "Firefox.exe" but it just asks again and fails to load. I did not have this problem yesterday 1/11/19. Messing with it further it appears to be on one group of sets and not others on the same website.

As a footnote, Firefox usually can display common web image types directly in a tab. If Firefox doesn't think it can and you tell Firefox to do it anyway, it sometimes leads to the following problem. So this is for possible future reference: Firefox repeatedly opens empty tabs or windows after you click on a link.
If Firefox thinks that it can't handle a specific file (content) type then you get an open with dialog. It is posible that these are not image files like PNG or JPG or BMP, but some other media files.
What content type does the server send with the file if you check this in the dialog window or in the Network Monitor?

Unfortunately the page of the website I am having trouble with is also not allowing non-click prompts such was what the link instructs or even the F5 refresh.
Can you give a link to a page demonstrating the problem, or is an account required?
I can send a link, but the problem is that the issue only arises when the images fail to load which may not be a problem for any one else.
Well, hmm. If you open the Network Monitor and just keep it open until the problem occurs, maybe then you can spot something odd about that image request compared with the others.
