Hello Volunteers,

We need to have centralized control over Mozilla browsers in our Organization, and would like to restrict following activities at user's end: - 1. We want a Mozilla package with already set custom configuration (mentioned below) with Admin control. 2. User shouldn't be able to either see the browser settings part or they shouldn't be able to make any changes in the settings. 3. User shouldn't be able to add any extensions to the browsers.

Further, we don't have any AD in place which is adding hurdle to achieving this objective. Kidnly take a look at our request and help us with the solution. Thanks!

BR, AMIT K.

our policies.json solution will do most of this (but it won't block access to preferences)

See:

Hello Mike,

Thanks for your mail.

Plz help me with "(but it won't block access to preferences)". Need more info about preferences. Second, will this .json file solve our concern mentioned in point 2 and 3, above. Thanks!

BR, AMIT K.

You can block access to about:config, but not the entire preferences panel.

And yes, you can block extensions from being installed.

Are there particular preferences you don't want the user to change?
