Last week I was doing a clean windows 7 reinstall. The browser updated to the newest version and then I tried to sync with my older firerfox bookmarks but nothing happened (maybe there was information that previous sync version is not compatible but I'm not sure about that). So no bookmarks, passwords were added etc. I also have firefox on my laptop so I tried to backup/export files from laptop and paste them into the computer but I couldn't launch firefox there because it had to install new update. After that update firefox on my laptop is also clean without any data. Is there any way to retrieve older data? Or it's all overwritten?
