At your own risk as some users have reported that they lost some bookmarks but I am still using it and not seen any disaster caused by it.

You can do this as a measure of precaution, Bookmarks -> Import and backup -> backup. It will store all bookmarks in .json format. If anything goes wrong, you can restore it.

But I still don’t know how to get rid of the hundreds of duplicate bookmarks I have now on both my phone and Windows PC. Any suggestions?

thats why I suggested this addon. When you will use it, it will ask for your permission to delete duplicate bookmarks. First try it and let me know then.

Can’t find a way to open your add on after opening the link you sent me. Not on my iPhone desktop. Not in my book marks.

I was able to find and delete 4525 duplicate bookmarks on my Windows PC. Excellent!!!

I'd like to have the same success with my phone. Even after a sync I still have hundreds of duplicate bookmarks on my phone. How do I gain access to this add-on from my iPhone? I have an iPhone 7 with iOS 11.1.1.

Let me know if you run across anything for duplicates on iPhone. It was very helpful for my Windows PC.

Maybe I'll switch back to Explorer on both devices.
