I am trying to download the updated Piriform CCleaner v 5.34.6207. Their updates are always redirected to File Hippo for the actual download, and I have downloaded many, many updates from File Hippo and never had a problem until I switched to Firefox recently. Firefox will NOT allow this update to be downloaded. The 1st icon (an encircled i) portion of the url links to a warning message saying the site is not secure and my login could be compromised. I am NOT logging in , So please tell me how to override this issue.

File Hippo's website loaded just fine, my problem is that FireFox will not let me download the CCleaner update from the File Hippo site (and since that is the only site Piriform uses for downloading their updates... this is a huge problem for me.

You see this standard warning when you are on an open HTTP page. This is only a security related warning and it shouldn't prevent you from entering or download files from the website.

What kind of warning makes you think that Firefox is blocking the download? Did you try to download the file?

Only if you get a special error page like for phishing or malware protection or for unwanted software then you need to worry.

Okay. I found a way to by-pass the FireFox issue. During the attempt to download the file I just "saved" the 'execute' file on my hard-drive and completed the upgrade from there. Perhaps that is FireFox's intended protocol, but I was expecting to be able to download the file to a temp internet browser file and execute it without actually saving it on my hard drive. (Which was an option on my former browser.

Anyway..I thank you all for your responses.

That was very good work. Well done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so others will know.
