I no longer have a "History" page. I only get the "Library" page. And I don't get a recent history. I get mixed up history. What is the problem with my browser?

My "History" is no longer called a "History" page. It's called the "Library" page. And my history is not listed by the in order of most recent. There mixed up. The most recent shows up in the middle. Some past history stays at the top and never leaves.

All this started after I have to change to a new battery in my laptop. I then had to reinstall FireFox.

What is the fix.

The window that has History, Downloads, and Bookmarks has been called the Library for quite a while. If you had a different window before, perhaps it was created by an add-on??

In the History list in the Library dialog, the entries usually are sorted by Most Recent Visit, from newest to oldest. If yours is not doing that, could you click the column heading to try to select it as the sort order? If necessary, click twice to get the order you want.

Did you ever had a problem with the clock on your computer that had been set to a future date?

That could explain why recent visits do not show at the top.

You can remove all places.sqlite file(s) in the Firefox profile folder to make Firefox rebuild the places.sqlite database from the most recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder and reset the history.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
